Coverage includes both cognitive evaluations of life such as life-satisfaction, and affective enjoyment of life, such as mood level. In addition to contributions on appraisal of life-as-a-whole, the journal accepts papers on such life domains as job-satisfaction, and such life-aspects as the perceived meaning of life.The Journal of Happiness Studies provides a forum for two main traditions in happiness research: 1) speculative reflection on the good life, and 2) empirical investigation of subjective well-being. Contributions span a broad range of disciplines: alpha-sciences, philosophy in particular; beta-sciences, especially health related quality-of-life research; and gamma-sciences, including not only psychology and sociology but also economics.The journal addresses the conceptualization, measurement, prevalence, explanation, evaluation, imagination and study of happiness.

The Journal of Micropalaeontology (JM) is well-established as an international publication with a circulation approaching 900 copies covering all aspects of microfossils and their application both in applied studies and basic research.The current Editor-in-Chief, Professor Alan Lord (Forschungsinstitut Senckenberg), is supported by a board of specialist editors.This journal is published on behalf of The Micropalaeontological Society (TMS).The scope of the journal has always been broad, especially to show the application of microfossils to solving geological problems, but with an emphasis on taxonomy. The principal fields of interest are: biostratigraphy; evolution; palaeobiology; palaeoenvironments; reviews; taxonomic studies.The emphasis will be on applications. The Journal of Muscle Research and Cell Motility has as its main aim the publication of original research which bears on either the excitation and contraction of muscle, the analysis of any one of the processes involved therein, or the processes underlying contractility and motility of animal and plant cells. Molecular Biology Reports is an international journal on molecular and cellular biology. The journal publishes both original research papers and (mini)-reviews. Among the fields of interest are DNA replication, transcription, nucleic acid-protein interaction, RNA processing, intracellular transport, protein biosynthesis, and related subjects. The journal publishes results of original research in clinically related biochemistry which approach the subject from a fundamental point of view.
