Glycoconjugate Journal publishes articles and reviews concerned with function, composition, structure, biosynthesis, degradation, interactions, recognition and chemo-enzymatic and synthesis of glycoconjugates; biochemistry, molecular biology, biotechnology, immunology and cell biology to glycoconjugates; aspects related to disease processes; structural and functional glycomics; glycoimmunology; glycovaccines; organic synthesis of glycoconjugates and the development of methodologies if biologically relevant; glycosylation changes in disease if focused on either the discovery of a novel disease marker or the improved understanding of some basic pathological mechanism, articles on the effects of toxicological agents on glycosylation, and the use of glycotherapeutics. Glycoconjugate Journal is the official journal of the International Glycoconjugate Organization, which organizes the biennial International Symposia on Glycoconjugates.

Histochemistry and Cell Biology is devoted to the field of molecular histology and cell biology, publishing original articles dealing with the localization and identification of molecular components, metabolic activities and cell biological aspects of cells and tissues. Coverage extends to the development, application, and/or evaluation of methods and probes that can be used in the entire area of histochemistry and cell biology. This is the official journal of the Society for Histochemistry.

IET Systems Biology publishes papers that take a systems and signal-oriented approach to the dynamic interactions within and between cells. IUBMB Life, edited by Angelo Azzi and William J. Whelan, is the flagship journal of the International Union of Biochemistry and Molecular Biology and is devoted to the rapid publication of the most novel and significant short articles, reviews and papers in the broadly defined fields of biochemistry, molecular biology, cell biology, and molecular medicine.

Immune System features Open Access original research and reviews reporting on translational and clinical studies encompassing all the field of immunology, bridging clinical with preclinical, and translational investigations. The journal emphasizes evidence-based clinical and laboratory research with statistically valid results that clearly help advancing our knowledge in the field. It specifically welcomes intra and inter disciplinarity Environmental immunology, Immunomics, Immunoterapy and including but not restricted to immune aspects of allergy, disorders of the respiratory tract, skin and autoimmune and neurodegenerative disorders. Infectious diseases constitute one of the main challenges to medical science in the coming century. The impressive development of molecular megatechnologies and of bioinformatics have greatly increased our knowledge of the evolution, transmission and pathogenicity of infectious diseases. Research has shown that host susceptibility to many infectious diseases has a genetic basis. Furthermore, much is now known on the molecular epidemiology, evolution and virulence of pathogenic agents, as well as their resistance to drugs, vaccines, and antibiotics. Equally, research on the genetics of disease vectors has greatly improved our understanding of their systematics, has increased our capacity to identify target populations for control or intervention, and has provided detailed information on the mechanisms of insecticide resistance.However, the genetics and evolutionary biology of hosts, pathogens and vectors have tended to develop as three separate fields of research. This artificial compartmentalisation is of concern due to our growing appreciation of the strong coevolutionary interactions among hosts, pathogens and vectors.Infection, Genetics and Evolution and its companion congress MEEGID (for Molecular Epidemiology and Evolutionary Genetics of Infectious Diseases) are the main forum acting for the cross-fertilization between evolutionary science and biomedical research on infectious diseases.Infection, Genetics and Evolution is the only journal that welcomes articles dealing with the genetics and evolutionary biology of hosts, pathogens and vectors, and coevolution processes among them in relation to infection and disease manifestation. Innate Immunity is a highly ranked, peer reviewed scholarly journal, first published as Journal of Endotoxin Research (JER) in 1994 as the official journal of the International Endotoxin Society (IES). Over 10 years of being known as the IES, the society recognised a significant increase in research in innate immunity not related to endotoxins. In response to this the society became the International Endotoxin and Innate Immunity Society (IEIIS) in 2005.The journal’s coverage has changed in line with the society, and it increasingly publishes articles dealing with innate immunity research not related to endotoxins. A joint decision was made between the publisher and the IEIIS to re-launch the journal in 2008 with the new name Innate Immunity, to reflect the broader range of coverage of the society and in the journal.Publication Charge from July 2010:Innate Immunity has seen a large increase in the number of submitted manuscripts in recent years. In order to publish this important research in a timely manner we will be increasing by 33% the number of pages in each volume. After consultation with the Editorial Board and recent authors, we will cover the increased cost of production by introducing a charge of $230 for all accepted papers. The subscription price will remain at its current level in 2010.IEIIS President Alan Cross adds, "The International Endotoxin and Innate Immunity Society supports the move to introduce publication fees for Innate Immunity. Main interests areas are neurochemistry, hormone and pheromone biochemistry, enzymes and metabolism, hormone action and gene regulation, gene characterization and structure, pharmacology, immunology and cell and tissue culture. Contributions are encouraged in all areas of biomedical engineering, such as patient-specific modelling, biofluid and biosolid mechanics, tissue engineering, cardiovascular and respiratory mechanics, tumour modelling, medical imaging and image processing, visualisation, meshing, numerical modelling of organs, drug delivery, surgical simulation, micro- and nano- mechanics, multiscale problems, human body electromagnetics, molecular biology, medical device design, health care models and numerical methods specially designed for biomedical problems. Authors are reminded that application of a standard numerical procedure to a standard problem is not within the scope of this journal. Manuscripts that present solutions to realistic and new biomedical problems using standard numerical procedures should provide evidence of mesh convergence.

International Journal of Biological Macromolecules is an established international journal of research into chemical and biological aspects of all natural macromolecules. It presents the latest findings of studies on the molecular structure of proteins, macromolecular carbohydrates, lignins, biological poly-acids, and nucleic acids. The scope further includes biological activities and interactions, molecular associations, chemical and biological modifications, and functional properties as well as development of related model systems, structural including conformational studies, new analytical techniques, and relevant theoretical developments.
