The aim of the International Journal of Computational Fluid Dynamics is the continuous and timely dissemination of new and innovative CFD research and developments. The Journal is a truly interdisciplinary forum for CFD, and publishes refereed papers on the latest advances in numerical methods in fluid dynamics and their applications to the aeronautics, hydrodynamics, environmental, and power and process fields. The Journal has a distinctive and balanced international contribution, with emphasis on papers dealing with efficient methods to produce accurate predictive numerical tools for flow analysis and design, and those promoting the understanding of the physics of fluid motion. Relevant and innovative practical and industrial applications, as well as those of an interdisciplinary nature, are strongly encouraged. All published research articles in this journal have undergone rigorous peer review, based on initial editor screening and anonymous refereeing by independent expert referses.

International Journal of Computer Integrated Manufacturing (IJCIM) is a journal of new knowledge, reporting research and applications underlining the opportunities and limitations of CIM in today's lifecycle-oriented, knowledge-based era of manufacturing. IJCIM has been enthusiastically received by the international manufacturing community and has become a key forum for academics and industrial researchers to exchange information and ideas. In response to this interest, IJCIM is published eight times a year, which enables the editors to target special issues on topics as diverse as service-oriented architectures, next generation manufacturing systems, wireless manufacturing and digital enterprise technologies, as well as focused issues covering regional research (such as in the EU Framework Programme) and international research programmes and initiatives.

The issues addressed include the quality of response of materials, body structures and energy-absorbing systems subjected to sudden dynamic loading, focussing on new crashworthy structures, new concepts in restraint systems and realistic accident reconstruction. Articles reflect the importance of computer modelling, as well as the development of human surrogates in impact simulation and prediction of vehicle and passenger response. Papers on impact biomechanics, covering human response, mechanics of injury and occupant protection in general, are also published. International Journal of Crashworthiness publishes both original research papers (full papers and short communications) and state-of-the-art reviews. All published research articles in this journal have undergone rigorous peer review, based on initial editor screening and anonymous refereeing by independent expert referees.

n the past two decades there has been considerable progress and significant advances made in the development of fundamental concepts of damage mechanics and their application to solve practical engineering problems. For instance, new concepts have been effectively applied to characterize creep damage, low and high cycle fatigue damage, creep-fatigue interaction, brittle/elastics damage, ductile plastic damage, straing softening, strain-rate-sensitivity damage, impact damage, and other physical phenomena. Materials investigated include polymers, composites, ceramics and metals.The International Journal of Damage Mechanics provides an effective mechanism to accelerate dissemination of information on damage mechanics not only within the research community but also between the research laboratory and industrial design department. The journal promotes and contributes to development of the concept of damage mechanics.Featuring original, peer-reviewed papers by leading specialists from around the world, the International Journal of Damage Mechanics covers new developments in the science and engineering of fracture and damage mechanics.

The International Journal of Engine Research publishes only the highest quality original papers on experimental and analytical studies of engine technology.

The International Journal of Engineering Science is not limited to a specific aspect of science and engineering but is instead devoted to a wide range of subfields in the engineering sciences. While it encourages a broad spectrum of contribution in the engineering sciences, its core interest lies in issues concerning material modeling and response. Articles of interdisciplinary nature are particularly welcome.The primary goal of the new editors is to maintain high quality of publications. There will be a commitment to expediting the time taken for the publication of the papers. The articles that are sent for reviews will have names of the authors deleted with a view towards enhancing the objectivity and fairness of the review process.Articles that are devoted to the purely mathematical aspects without a discussion of the physical implications of the results or the consideration of specific examples are discouraged. Articles concerning material science should not be limited merely to a description and recording of observations but should contain theoretical or quantitative discussion of the results.From time to time, the Journal will publish review articles and bring out special issues on a specific sub-field of engineering science. Authors are encouraged to contact the Editors if they would like to submit a review article or bring out a special issue of the Journal.The Editors reserve the right to reject papers without sending them out for review.

International Journal of Fatigue covers the full range of scientific and technological issues associated with fatigue. The scope of the journal includes the spectrum of characterization, testing, and modeling of degradation processes under cyclic loading, commonly referred to as fatigue. This includes compromise of functionality with cycling, in addition to formation of cracks and other damage phenomena. Phenomena of interest range from the atomic level to engineering structures or devices, including all classes of materials and material systems.

Advances in the understanding of heat transfer and fluid flow continue to be crucial in achieving improved performance and efficiency in a broad range of mechanical and process plants.The International Journal of Heat and Fluid Flow welcomes high-quality original contributions on experimental, computational, and physical aspects of convective heat transfer and fluid dynamics relevant to engineering or the environment, including multiphase and microscale flows.Papers reporting the application of these disciplines to design and development, with emphasis on new technological fields, are also welcomed. The International Journal of Humanoid Robotics (IJHR) covers all subjects on the mind and body of humanoid robots. It is dedicated to advancing new theories, new techniques, and new implementations contributing to the successful achievement of future robots which not only imitate human beings, but also serve human beings. While IJHR encourages the contribution of original papers which are solidly grounded on proven theories or experimental procedures, the journal also encourages the contribution of innovative papers which venture into the new, frontier areas in robotics. Such papers need not necessarily demonstrate, in the early stages of research and development, the full potential of new findings on a physical or virtual robot.

The International Journal of Impact Engineering, established in 1983, has as its objective the publication of original research findings related to the response of structures, bodies and materials from the exposure to impact and blast events. Pertinent areas encompass the following general topics and those associated with them:Structural impact and failureEnergy absorbing systemsTerminal ballisticsDynamic material behaviour and failureStress wavesStructural crashworthinessBlast loading and its effects on structuresHigh-speed mechanical and forming processesHazards assessments, safety and protection involving impact and blast loadingTesting/measurement techniques coupled with applicationManuscripts submitted for publication will be subjected to stringent peer review and assessed for their contribution to scientific understanding of impact phenomena or fundamental insights gained towards engineering design for high rate loading. Papers concerned primarily with the fields of mathematics, materials science or computation, with little direct relevance to impact and blast dynamics, as well as those of a purely descriptive nature will be declined.. However, well-designed and well-documented experimental studies that advance the body of knowledge are encouraged. Manuscripts that focus on parametric studies (e.g. using commercial software), unaccompanied by convincing validation and discussion of application of results generated, as well as papers on novel computational techniques without comparison with established methods or test data are also not solicited.Papers in the International Journal of Impact Engineering should generally be of interest to aeronautical engineers, civil engineers, mechanical engineers, naval architects, nuclear engineers, ocean engineers, offshore engineers, transportation engineers and workers in other branches of engineering and science who are involved in various aspects of impact and blast loading.Companion papers Authors should aim at submitting manuscripts that can be reviewed on their own, without assuming that preceding or subsequent related manuscripts will be published. Authors of companion papers should inform the Editor of the reasons for publishing their work in multiple parts.

The International Journal of Machine Tools and Manufacture is devoted to advances in scientific understanding of essential mechanics of processes and machines applied to the manufacture of engineering components, mainly in metals, but also in composites, ceramics and other structural/functional materials. It does not deal with large-scale natural organic materials. To this end coverage is given to a range of topics that includes:•Essential mechanics of processes involving material removal, accretion and deformation, in solid, semi-solid or particulate form•Performance characteristics of machine tools and machine tool work-piece systems•Tool design, utilization and failure•Significant scientific development of existing or new processes and machines•Approaches to added value through geometrical/microstructural precision•Micro manufactureThe above list is not exhaustive and papers on other topics associated with process science/technology or manufacturing hardware are welcome. Significant and useful advance of the current state of knowledge is an essential factor and it is important that papers are presented in a manner that will be appreciated by both academics and practising engineers. It is unlikely that papers dealing with theory or modelling alone will be acceptable, unless a significant proven advance in scientific/technological knowledge is demonstrated. Likewise, papers in which the use of methodology predominates over technological advance would probably be rejected. Normally, multipart papers are not acceptable.

International Journal of Management Science and Engineering Management (IJMSEM) is a peer-reviewed quarterly journal that provides an international forum for researchers and practitioners of management science and engineering management. The journal focuses on identifying problems in the field, and using innovative management theories and new management methods to provide solutions.
