The Southeastern Naturalist is a peer-reviewed interdisciplinary scientific journal with a regional focus on the southeastern United States. It features research articles on terrestrial, fresh-water, and marine organisms, and their environments. It focuses on field ecology, biology, behavior, biogeography, wildlife and fisheries management, taxonomy, evolution, anatomy, physiology, geology, and related fields. It is a sister journal of the Northeastern Naturalist. Both journals are identical in focus, format, quality, and features, thus providing an integrated publishing and research resource for the eastern part of North America.

Sustainability Science probes interactions between global, social, and human systems, the complex mechanisms that lead to degradation of these systems, and concomitant risks to human well-being. The journal provides a platform for building sustainability science as a new academic discipline which can point the way to a sustainable global society by facing challenges that existing disciplines have not addressed. These include endeavors to simultaneously understand phenomena and solve problems, uncertainty and application of the precautionary principle, the co-evolution of knowledge and recognition of problems, and trade-offs between global and local problem solving. The journal promotes science-based predictions and impact assessments of global change, and seeks ways to ensure that these can be understood and accepted by society. Sustainability Science creates a transdisciplinary academic structure and discovery process that fuses the natural sciences, social sciences, and humanities.

AimsThe journal facilitates the confrontation and integration of scientific knowledge and policy development related to water quality and ecology. The journal will stimulate experimentation and innovation that can support decision making, to achieve effective and sustainable management of water and ecosystem resources. Contributions that design and evaluate adaptive and applied water policies at all levels are encouraged. The International Forestry Review is a peer-reviewed scholarly journal that publishes original research and review papers on all aspects of forest policy and science, with an emphasis on issues of transnational significance. The Journal of Island & Coastal Archaeology (JICA) is aimed at archaeologists and other scientists with interests in the archaeology and historical ecology of islands and other coastal settings. This bi-annual journal publishes original research papers, major review articles, short notes, occasional book reviews, and forums of significance to a broad international audience. We encourage submissions on a variety of innovative and interdisciplinary topics, including broad syntheses of particular islands or coastal regions around the world, major methodological and theoretical advances in the study of island and coastal societies, and the historical ecology and human impacts of island and coastal ecosystems around the world. JICA provides an international forum for scholars from a variety of disciplines who share a common interest in studying islands, archipelagoes, and coastal regions. The Rangeland Journal publishes original work that makes a significant contribution to understanding the biophysical, social, cultural, economic, and policy influences affecting rangeland use and management throughout the world. Rangelands are defined broadly and include all those environments where natural ecological processes predominate, and where values and benefits are based primarily on natural resources.Papers may present the results of original research, contributions to theory or new conclusions reached from the review of a topic. Their structure need not conform to that of standard scientific articles but writing style must be clear and concise. All material presented must be well documented, critically analysed and objectively presented. All papers are peer-reviewed.

Theoretical Ecology publishes innovative research in theoretical ecology, including ecophysiology, population ecology, behavioral ecology, evolutionary ecology, ecosystem ecology, community ecology, and ecosystem and landscape ecology. The editors emphasize work that bridges disciplinary boundaries, such as the intersection between quantitative social sciences and ecology, or physical influences on ecological processes.The contents include regular articles, review papers, and rapid communications. Theoretical Ecology also offers a rapid communications option for short manuscripts of unusually broad interest to the ecological community.

An interdisciplinary journal, Theoretical Population Biology presents articles on the theoretical aspects of the biology of populations, particularly in the areas of demography of ecology, epidemology, evolution, and genetics. Emphasis is on the development of mathematical theory and models that enhance the understanding of biological phenomena.
