Acta Paediatrica is a peer-reviewed monthly journal at the forefront of international pediatric research. It covers both clinical and experimental research in all areas of pediatrics including:

In-depth studies of all kinds of fossils, of the mode of life of ancient organisms and structure of their skeletons are welcome, as those offering stratigraphically ordered evidence of evolution. Work on vertebrates and applications of fossil evidence to developmental studies, both ontogeny and astogeny of clonal organisms, have a long tradition in our journal. Evolution of the biosphere and its ecosystems, as inferred from geochemical evidence, has also been the focus of studies published in the journal.The language of the journal is English. Submissions may be in the form of articles, brief reports, discussions, or paper/book reviews. Papers are evaluated on the originality of data, interpretations, and ideas, and on the degree to which their findings can be generalized. All papers are subject to peer reviews.Articles accepted for publication are usually published in order of submission. Exceptions are made for papers of particular scientific significance, and for manuscripts which fully comply with editorial requirements given in the instruction for authors and require only minor changes.

Acta Parasitologica publishes reports on new investigations in all areas of basic and applied parasitology. It encourages the submission of articles on studies describing most recent findings in the field of immunology, molecular biology, systematics and phylogeny of parasites.Acta Parasitologica was founded in 1953 by the Polish Parasitological Society, and since 1992 it is published by the W. Political Science with an EdgeActa Politica is one of the few truly international political science journals with a broad scope across the discipline. In the past we have published theoretical and empirical articles, comparative and single-country studies and even some methodological notes. In times of an ever-increasing specialisation in political science, we however strongly believe a broad-ranging political science journal is as important as ever for the international scientific community. As Editors, we have a strong preference for articles that will attract a wide audience within the broader field of political science, no matter what the precise topic of the article might be.Despite this broad scope Acta Politica is very selective about the quality of the articles that it publishes. Acta Politica has always been committed to publishing articles with an 'edge'; providing new insights or new approaches in political science. At the end of the review process, we always ask the question: "What did we learn from this article?"Our aim is to provide an exciting read, whether you are interested in political theory or quantitative research methods. Our goal is to select those articles that bring with them a substantive theoretical background, while demonstrating how these ideas can be used in empirical research. On the other hand, we welcome empirical articles introducing new ways to incorporate or to test theoretical discussions which are highly interesting to our readers.Acta Politica follows a double blind review policy, and our acceptance rate stands at about 35 per cent, ensuring that all the articles we publish meet high academic standards. Acta Protozoologica is a quarterly journal that publishes current and comprehensive, experimental, and theoretical contributions across the breadth of protistology, and cell biology of Eukaryote microorganisms including: behaviour, biochemistry and molecular biology, development, ecology, genetics, parasitology, physiology, photobiology, systematics and phylogeny, and ultrastructure. It publishes original research reports, critical reviews of current research written by invited experts in the field, short communications, book reviews, and letters to the Editor.Faunistic notices of local character, minor descriptions, or descriptions of taxa not based on new (original) data, and purely clinical reports, fall outside the remit of Acta Protozoologica.

Acta Psychiatrica Scandinavica acts as an international forum for the dissemination of information advancing the science and practice of psychiatry. Acta Psychologica publishes original articles and extended reviews on selected books in any area of experimental psychology. A Pousada de São Mateus, em Viseu, resulta da recuperação do antigo Hospital de São Teotónio, um dos hospitais mais antigos da cidade, cuja abertura data de 1842. A entrada deste edifício majestoso e imponente, do séc. XVIII, é encimada por 3 estátuas – Fé, Esperança e Caridade – que olham a paisagem sobre a cidade velha. Em 1799 D.
