Acta Botanica Hungarica publishes papers by scientists of Hungary and of surrounding countries working on the topics listed below. Studies by foreign researchers written in the framework of international projects and cooperations are also welcome. Main subjects: plant anatomy and histology, cryptogam and phanerogam taxonomy, molecular phylogeny, plant geography, plant sociology, vegetation science, tropical botany, ethnobotany, paleobotany and palynology. Publishes book reviews and advertisements.

Acta Chromatographica publishes peer-reviewed scientific articles on every field of chromatography, including theory of chromatography; progress in synthesis and characterization of new stationary phases; chromatography of organic, inorganic and complex compounds; enantioseparation and chromatography of chiral compounds; applications of chromatography in biology, pharmacy, medicine, and food analysis; environmental applications of chromatography; analytical and physico-chemical aspects of sample preparation for chromatography; hyphenated and combined techniques; chemometrics and its applications in separation science.

Acta Linguistica publishes papers on general linguistics with particular emphasis on discussions of theoretical issues concerning Hungarian and other Finno-Ugric languages. Papers presenting empirical material must have strong theoretical implications. The scope of the journal is not restricted to the traditional research areas of linguistics, it also covers areas such as socio- and psycholinguistics, neurolinguistics, discourse analysis, the philosophy of language, language typology, and formal semantics. Publishes book and dissertation reviews and advertisements.

Acta Mathematica Hungarica features papers covering most areas of mathematics and, in particular, from those whose work is related to the advances being made by Hungarian mathematicians. It publishes mainly pure mathematics, but occasionally papers of a more applied nature appear in the journal providing they have a non-trivial mathematical content. Acta Mathematica Hungarica (formerly Acta Mathematica Academiae Scientiarum Hungaricae) was founded in 1950 by the Hungarian Academy of Sciences. It is now established as an international journal of repute.

The journal publishes research papers containing new, essential results with complete proofs as well as survey papers.
