Revista Española de Enfermedades Digestivas is the official journal of the Spanish Society of Digestive Pathology, the Spanish Society of Digestive Endoscopy and the Spanish Association of Digestive Ecography.The journal firstly appeared in 1918. It was founded by professors R. Luis Y Yagüe, Fidel Fernández and L. Urrutia. It has been publishing manuscripts monthly (12 numbers a year) without interruption since 1944 and it has been declared of public interest.Its main objective is to increase and update knowledge in the area of the gastrointestinal tract, specially in the fields of digestive surgery, digestive endoscopy, digestive ecography and internal medicine. The abbreviated title is Rev. esp. enferm. dig. and it should be used in bibliography. .
