Information Security Technical Report is a quarterly technical report, focused on a specific topic. It is aimed at senior information security managers, who need to gain a better understanding of current information security issues and solutions, and provides 'off-the shelf' consultancy from professional researchers and practitioners. The main objective of the report is to provide a balanced, impartial, up to date, and authoritative view of specific topics within the information security arena. The report is a joint venture between Elsevier and the Information Security Group at Royal Holloway, University of London.Using our links with the top names in information security, Information Security Technical Report brings you guidance and solutions from internationally renowned IT security professionals and consultants. Because we already know the experts in the field we make sure each issue contains their input and advice through a series of commissioned articles offering a different technical perspective on a particular topic.Published quarterly as a series of technical reports, each issue provides an in-depth look at a specific, often newly emerging security problem. Information systems are the software and hardware systems that support data-intensive applications. The journal Information Systems publishes articles concerning the design and implementation of languages, data models, process models, algorithms, software and hardware for information systems.Subject areas include data management issues as presented in the principal international database conferences (e.g. ACM SIGMOD, ACM PODS, VLDB, ICDE and ICDT/EDBT) as well as data-related issues from the fields of data mining, information retrieval, internet and cloud data management, web semantics, visual and audio information systems, scientific computing, and organisational behaviour. Implementation papers having to do with massively parallel data management, fault tolerance in practice, and special purpose hardware for data-intensive systems are also welcome.All papers should motivate the problems they address with compelling examples from real or potential applications. Systems papers must be serious about experimentation either on real systems or simulations based on traces from real systems. Papers from industrial organisations are welcome.Theoretical papers should have a clear motivation from applications. They should either break significant new ground or unify and extend existing algorithms. Such papers should clearly state which ideas have potentially wide applicability.In addition to publishing submitted articles, the Editors-in-Chief will invite retrospective articles that describe significant projects by the principal architects of those projects. Authors of such articles should write in the first person, tracing the social as well as technical history of their projects, describing the evolution of ideas, mistakes made, and reality tests.Technical results should be explained in a uniform notation with the emphasis on clarity and on ideas that may have applications outside of the environment of that research. Advances in information and communication technologies are associated with a wide and increasing range of social consequences, which are experienced by individuals, work groups, organizations, interorganizational networks, and societies at large. Information technologies are implicated in all industries and in public as well as private enterprises. Understanding the relationships between information technologies and social organization is an increasingly important and urgent social and scholarly concern in many disciplinary fields.Information and Organization seeks to publish original scholarly articles on the relationships between information technologies and social organization. It seeks a scholarly understanding that is based on empirical research and relevant theory. Information and Organization also seeks to advance established and emerging theoretical arguments through the publication of papers that review empirical research and provide directions for future research and theory development. Essays that provoke critical thinking on important subjects are also sought. The aim is to provide a forum that brings together innovative, reflective, and rigorous scholarship.Of special interest are contributions on the social construction of information technologies, the implications of information technologies for organizational change, alternative organizational designs such as virtual and networked organizations, information system development, organizational governance and control, accounting systems, globalization, decision processes, organizational learning, ethics of information, organizational communication and organizational culture. A rich variety of disciplines provide valuable perspectives on these topics, and the journal seeks contributions from fields such as information systems, organization science, philosophy, history, psychology, anthropology, political science, sociology, computer science, communication, and others.Interest is not restricted to any particular technology for processing or transmitting information. Indeed, new technologies emerge continuously, and the journal seeks to provide a useful forum for discussion about emerging technologies and their social and organizational consequences. The Journal covers the entire field of infrared physics and technology: theory, experiment, devices and instrumentation.Its core topics can be summarized as the generation, propagation and detection, of infrared radiation; the associated optics, materials and devices; and its use in all fields of science, industry and medicine.Infrared techniques occur in many different fields, notably spectroscopy and interferometry; material characterization and processing; atmospheric physics, astronomy and space research. Scientific aspects include lasers, quantum optics, quantum electronics and semiconductor physics. Injury was founded in 1969 and is an international journal dealing with all aspects of trauma care and accident surgery. Our primary aim is to facilitate the exchange of ideas, techniques and information among all members of the trauma team.Topics covered include: trauma systems and management; surgical procedures; epidemiological studies; surgery (of all tissues); resuscitation; biomechanics; rehabilitation; anaesthesia; radiology; basic science of local and systemic response to trauma and tissue healing.Regular features include: original research papers; review articles; case reports; ideas and innovations detailing novel and effective solutions to surgical problems; book reviews; calendar of world-wide meetings.Letters that comment on an article previously published in Injury are particularly encouraged, and the authors will be given the opportunity to respond. Innovative Food Science and Emerging Technologies (IFSET) aims to provide the highest quality original contributions on new developments in food science and emerging technologies. The work described should be innovative either in the approach or in the methods used. The significance of the results either for the science community or for the food industry must also be specified. Papers submitted for publication must be novel and of high scientific quality and impact. Only papers which advance current scientific knowledge, with industrial relevance, which advance current understanding will be considered for review and publication. IFSET does not publish preliminary or confirmatory results. The journal publishes selected research and review articles dealing with engineering, scale-up, safety, sustainability, kinetics and mechanistic aspects of promising food processing technologies. Insurance: Mathematics and Economics is an international journal that intends to strengthen communication between individuals and groups who produce and apply research results in insurance and finance, aiming to integrate the currently fragmented research in both fields.
