GENUS - Journal of Population Sciences - is an open access peer-reviewed journal published by Springer on behalf of the Sapienza University of Rome. Founded in 1934 by Corrado Gini, GENUS has adopted an interdisciplinary approach to population studies. It has an interdisciplinary focus by publishing articles of “pure” demography and articles aiming to further a better knowledge of the interrelationship between demography and biological, social and economic phenomena, connected with the evolution of the population. These have spanned not only pure demography but also anthropology and anthropometric, sociology and psychology, biology and genetics. In keeping with the times -and particularly from 1965 under Nora Federici, and from 1993 under Antonio Golini as directors – an increasing number of articles have been published on general population theories, population dynamics and mathematical demography. GENUS has always tried to promote open dialogue across cultural, ideological and at times theoretical walls in the attempt to understand the complexities underlying population issues.

Health Economics Review (HER) is a peer-reviewed open access journal published under the brand SpringerOpen. It is a new international journal covering all fields of Health Economics. Its contents include a broad range of the highest-quality theoretical contributions, empirical studies and analyses of health policy with a health economic focus. The scope of HER extends to the macro- and microeconomics of health care financing, health insurance and reimbursement, as well as health economic evaluation, health services research and health policy analysis. Additional topics addressed include the individual and institutional aspects of health care management and the growing importance of health care in developing countries.

All content is freely available online to anyone, anywhere!Insights into Imaging was founded by the European Society of Radiology (ESR) in order to create a platform for educational material, guidelines and recommendations, topics of controversy and formal statements concerning European radiology.It continuously updates scientific and best-practice knowledge in radiology through the publication of original articles and state of the art reviews, opinions, along with recommendations and statements from the leading radiological societies in Europe.A thorough and competent peer review procedure serves the authors’ need for critical feedback.
