This journal is devoted to Applied Mathematics in its broadest sense with an emphasis on the analysis and optimization of systems governed by various classes of differential equations, in particular partial differential equations (PDEs) both stochastic and deterministic. Optimization includes mathematical control theory and dynamic games.
Techniques of interest encompass calculus of variations, homogenization, weak convergence, numerical approximation, and regularization, along with modern methods of linear and non-linear analysis as pertinent to the study of PDEs and optimization theory.
The subject matter of the International Journal of Law, Policy and the Family comprises the following: analyses of the law relating to the family which carry an interest beyond the jurisdiction dealt with, or which are of a comparative nature; theoretical analyses of family law; sociological literature concerning the family and legal policy; social policy literature of special interest to law and the family; and literature in related disciplines (medicine, psychology, demography) of special relevance to family law and research findings in the above areas.
Manufacturing is undergoing major transformation due to the unforeseen challenges arising from the current trend of miniaturization, the emergence of new materials and the growing interaction between biologists and engineers to learn more from nature and living objects.Traditionally, a "top-down" approach has been used in manufacturing. Recently, engineers and scientists have begun exploring "bottom-up" approaches for manufacturing today's highly complex products. Further, these emerging processes are aimed to improve process efficiency and product quality. The aim of the Journal of Manufacturing Processes (JMP) is to exchange current and future directions of manufacturing processes research, development and implementation, and to publish archival scholarly literature with a view to advancing state-of-the-art manufacturing processes and encouraging innovation for developing new and efficient processes. The journal will also publish from other research communities for rapid communication of innovative new concepts. Special-topic issues on emerging technologies and invited papers will also be published.Papers relevant to the scope of JMP include, but are not limited to, the following areas:• Meso/micro/nano fabrication, including imprint lithography.• Advanced manufacturing processes, including mechanical, chemical and thermal processes.• Welding, joining and assembly at micro and macro scales.• Rapid prototyping, rapid manufacturing and repair, stereolithography and other 3-D fabrication techniques that can use optical projection.• Advanced embossing, casting, forming and molding processes at all scales.• Mono/multilayer functional coating processes.• Continuum and subcontinuum process modeling and simulation.• Manufacturing process monitoring, control and automation.• Tribology and wear issues relevant to manufacturing processes.Benefits to authorsWe also provide many author benefits, such as free PDFs, a liberal copyright policy, special discounts on Elsevier publications and much more. Journal of Money, Credit, and Banking Edited by Paul Evans, The Ohio State University; Mark J. Flannery, University of Florida; and Kenneth D. West, University of Wisconsin Widely read and cited by researchers and policy makers, Journal of Money, Credit, and Banking is a primary economics journal reporting major findings in the study of monetary and fiscal policy, credit markets, money and banking, portfolio management, and related subjects. Founded in 1969.
Pesticide Biochemistry and Physiology publishes original scientific articles pertaining to the mode of action of plant protection agents such as insecticides, fungicides, herbicides, and similar compounds, including nonlethal pest control agents, biosynthesis of pheromones, hormones, and plant resistance agents. Manuscripts may include a biochemical, physiological, or molecular study for an understanding of comparative toxicology or selective toxicity of both target and nontarget organisms. Particular interest will be given to studies on the molecular biology of pest control, toxicology, and pesticide resistance.Research Areas Emphasized Include the Biochemistry and Physiology of:• Comparative toxicity• Mode of action• Pathophysiology• Plant growth regulators• Resistance• Other effects of pesticides on both parasites and hostsBenefits to authorsWe also provide many author benefits, such as free PDFs, a liberal copyright policy, special discounts on Elsevier publications and much more. The AMS has published peer-reviewed journals of the highest quality in mathematical research for over 100 years. Each journal is unique in its offering of articles, book reviews, and reports. And each is managed by editors who are prominent in their fields. In addition to publishing and distributing printed journals, the AMS offers searchable electronic versions. Articles are posted before they are included in an issue, so the electronic versions are available prior to the print versions.
The Seventeenth Century is established as the leading forum for interdisciplinary approaches to the period, and complements these with stimulating specialist studies on a wide range of subjects. There is a general preference for articles embodying original research. All contributions should be accessible to scholars who are not specialists in the field concerned. Subjects covered include literature, political and economic history, social history, theology, philosophy, colonial history, natural sciences, music, and the visual arts. There is a section of book reviews in each issue. From time to time special issues will be devoted to one theme or topic, although the journal normally aims for a broad spread of interest.
