Machine Learning: Earth is a multidisciplinary open access journal dedicated to the application of machine learning, artificial intelligence (AI) and data-driven computational methods across all areas of Earth, environmental and climate sciences including efforts to ensure a sustainable future. The journal publishes research reporting data-driven approaches that advance our knowledge of the Earth system, and of the interactions between biosphere, hydrosphere, cryosphere, atmosphere and geosphere. The journal also publishes research that presents methodological, theoretical, or conceptual advances in machine learning and AI with applications to Earth, environmental and climate science.

Mammal Review covers all aspects of mammalian biology and ecology. We particularly welcome hypothesis-driven analytical and systematic reviews of current theoretical and applied research on mammals, meta-analyses, practical assessments of techniques for studying mammals and large-scale considerations of the status, conservation and management of mammals. As well as reviews, comments, in which authors respond to papers in Mammal Review, and short communications, in which original research or important new methods are described, are published. Authors may consult the Editor-in-Chief about potential contributions or submit unsolicited papers. The journal is the official scientific periodical of the Mammal Society.

Mycological Progress is a peer-reviewed, international journal on all aspects of fungi, including lichens. It publishes original articles, as well as reviews and methods papers on the taxonomy, systematics, evolutionary biology, cell biology, ecology, pathology and biotechnology of fungi. Topics covered include studies of gene sequences, cell wall carbohydrate composition and ubiquinone components in ascomycetous yeasts and dimorphic fungi; discovery of a new species of Geastrum; Tuscan mosses and liverworts and much more. Mycological Progress is affiliated with more than 10 European national mycological societies, including the German Mycological Society. Natural Product Reports (NPR) is a critical review journal that stimulates progress in all areas of natural products research, including isolation, structural and stereochemical determination, biosynthesis, biological activity and synthesis. Natural Product Reports covers natural products from marine, plant, fungal and microbial environments. The scope of the journal is very broad, and many reviews discuss the role of natural products in the wider bioinorganic, bioorganic and chemical biology communities. Nature is a weekly international journal publishing the finest peer-reviewed research in all fields of science and technology on the basis of its originality, importance, interdisciplinary interest, timeliness, accessibility, elegance and surprising conclusions. Nature also provides rapid, authoritative, insightful and arresting news and interpretation of topical and coming trends affecting science, scientists and the wider public.

Phycological Research is published by the Japanese Society of Phycology and complements the Japanese Journal of Phycology. The Journal publishes international, basic or applied, peer-reviewed research dealing with all aspects of phycology including ecology, taxonomy and phylogeny, evolution, genetics, molecular biology, biochemistry, cell biology, morphology, physiology, new techniques to facilitate the international exchange of results. All articles are peer-reviewed by at least two researchers expert in the filed of the submitted paper. Phycological Research has been credited by the International Association for Plant Taxonomy for the purpose of registration of new non-vascular plant names (including fossils). The Centraalbureau voor Schimmelcultures (CBS) Fungal Biodiversiry Centre - an institute of the Royal Netherlands Academy of Arts and Sciences (KNAW) and situated in Utrecht - maintains a world-renowned collection of living filamentous fungi, yeasts and bacteria. The Institute's research programs principally focus on the taxonomy and evolution of fungi as well as on functional aspects of fungal biology and ecology, increasingly making use of molecular and genomics approaches. The institute employs circa 70 personnel, among whom 20 scientists.

Sustainable Food Technology is a gold open access journal focused on cutting-edge strategies for food production, that aim to provide quality and safe foods in an environmentally conscious and sustainable way. We welcome novel green strategies applied to both crops and animal foods from every step of the food chain, “from farm to fork”: farming, harvesting, processing, packaging, storage, distribution and control. Circular bioeconomy strategies are particularly welcomed, from those adding value to food by-products to those focused on the appropriate reuse of food waste. The American Biology Teacher is published by the National Association of Biology Teachers (Reston, VA). It is the official peer-reviewed journal of the National Association of Biology Teachers, issued nine times a year (monthly except June and July; November and December are combined).
