The Asian Journal of Shipping and Logistics (AJSL) is intended to be an outlet for theoretical and empirical research contributions for scholars and specialists in the business of shipping and logistics. A multi-disciplinary and international refereed journal, it brings together papers on the many different topics that concern the fields of shipping and logistics.AJSL invites manuscripts particularly in the areas of management, finance, accounting, insurance, international business, marketing, and history in the fields of shipping, port, transport and logistics of Asia. Application of theory and research in these areas to related fields of inquiry are highly welcomed.The Asian Journal of Shipping and Logistics aims for contributing to the development of human beings by way of fostering and supporting the researches in the fields of shipping and logistics by the Asians, of the Asians, and for the Asians. Upon acceptance of an article by the journal, the author(s) will be asked to transfer copyright in the article to the publisher. The Electricity Journal is the leading policy journal for the U.S. electric power industry. The Journal began publishing in July 1988. It was created because its founding editor and publisher, Robert Marritz, then a utility lawyer in private practice, was convinced that the electricity industry was moving on a fundamentally different track from the one it had traveled for most of the 20th century. He felt that electric utilities had lost the bedrock confidence of the public, largely as a result of their unsuccessful gamble with nuclear power. During this time, a small but growing industry of alternative suppliers generating power from natural gas-fired co-generation and renewable energy plants (wind power, biomass, hydro and solar), spurred by Congress's passage in 1978 of the Public Utility Regulatory Policies Act, were finding markets for their power. These alternative suppliers formed the vanguard of what has now proved to be a highly competitive business: selling power in large quantities at the wholesale level (for resale to end users).The Journal is now the principal print venue for those who are, with their ideas, forging the new shape and design of the electricity/energy industry. Given the importance of planning and development issues in tourism, such as optimising the sector's contribution to socio-economic development, sustainability and resource-use planning, capacity planning, strategic infrastructure planning and forecasting, structural activity re-alignments, the implications of advances in information technology and the relationship between globalisation and tourism, this journal focuses on bringing together researchers and practitioners, individuals and organisations interested in both the theoretical and the practical aspects of planning and development. Tourism Planning & Development aims to provide a forum for the publication and dissemination of new and original theoretical and applied research on tourism planning and development issues through fully refereed research papers. At the same time, it also aims to encourage international dialogue through viewpoint articles or shorter pieces designed to stimulate ideas and discussion and/or to present work in progress that has not been developed to a stage suitable for publication as a fully refereed paper.
