Annals of Leisure Research publishes refereed articles which promote the development of research and scholarship in leisure studies. Although originating in Australasia, Annals is aimed at an international readership, and seeks theoretical or applied articles which cover any topic within the broad area of leisure studies, including recreation, tourism, the arts, outdoor recreation, entertainment, sport, culture and play.

Annals of Tourism Research is a social sciences journal focusing upon the academic perspectives of tourism. While striving for a balance of theory and application, Annals is ultimately dedicated to developing theoretical constructs. Its strategies are to invite and encourage offerings from various disciplines; to serve as a forum through which these may interact; and thus to expand frontiers of knowledge in and contribute to the literature on tourism social science. Applied Geography is a journal devoted to the publication of research which utilizes geographic approaches (human, physical, nature-society and GIScience) to resolve human problems that have a spatial dimension. These problems may be related to the assessment, management and allocation of the world's physical and/or human resources. The underlying rationale of the journal is that only through a clear understanding of the relevant societal, physical, and coupled natural-humans systems can we resolve such problems.Papers are invited on any theme involving the application of geographical theory and methodology in the resolution of human problems.This may include papers on the techniques, problems and results of environmental and/or social research, as well as those concerned with the principles, policies and consequences of resource management and allocation. The primary aims of the journal are to analyze and assess past and present urban development and management as a reflection of effective, ineffective and non-existent planning policies; and the promotion of the implementation of appropriate urban policies in both the developed and the developing world.

Every year, we also publish a handful of Viewpoints. These are articles that are shorter in nature, summative in their literature review, and offer a particular argument that could potentially generate debates among scholars and practitioners.

Each volume also features one or more City Profiles. Coverage includes a brief description of the city's historical development, an account of contemporary conditions, problems or issues, and a critical review of recent or current policy, planning or management responses.

The International Journal of Culture, Tourism, and Hospitality Research focuses on building bridges in theory, research, and practice across the inter-related fields of culture, tourism and hospitality.

Cornell Hospitality Quarterly (CQ), peer-reviewed and published quarterly, focuses on publishing scholarly research that provides timely and actionable prescription for hospitality management practice and research. Written by academics as well as industry leaders, the articles help readers keep up-to-date on the latest research findings and insights in order to improve business practices and to stay informed about successful business strategies.

Current Issues in Tourism is a new type of tourism journal which encourages in-depth discussion and critique of key questions within the subject. It offers a readable format for extended peer-reviewed papers, commentaries, letters and reviews, all designed to spark off further reader response and debate. It contains both applied and theoretical work that addresses tourism inquiry, method and practice. Lively and rigorous, it welcomes contributions from the broad gamut of subjects which make up the stuff of tourism studies. Current Issues in Tourism is designed to be accessible to both new and experienced researchers and practitioners on a global basis. The principal aims of the journal are to: encourage the full disciplinary and interdisciplinary range of approaches which are available to the study of tourism; bring together researchers from different subject backgrounds for interdisciplinary debate; develop the theoretical base on which the study of tourism is built; provide a basis for the development of critical approaches to the study of tourism; disseminate new approaches, concepts, frameworks and models which may be developed in the study of tourism; promote new research; assist in the creation of new networks of researchers; encourage young researchers. One of the unique features of the journal is a 6-week response period following publication to allow both postal and e-mail comment on papers (CIT Interactive). Each issue contains at least two extended peer-reviewed papers of between 15,000 and 25,000 words in length. There are also Reports, Rejoinders and Commentary (on both current and past papers) of up to 3000 words, plus book review articles of up to 3000 words. There is a significant need for European futures research as European countries face numerous substantial problems: at the same time they seek to make a contribution to solving global challenges. European regions “share” common experiences, divisions and conflicts – which altogether build a rich resource for critical examination as well as forward-looking renewal.  European integration after World War II has reshaped political, economic and social relations in Europe and beyond. Therefore, the future of Europe will also depend on the further development of the European Union in its wider transnational and global contexts. Consequently, the journal seeks to foster thorough analysis of key European policies, such as those for research and education.  Nonetheless, topics addressed in the journal are not limited to the (development of the) European Union: we invite articles that raise questions about European futures more generally. Interdisciplinary research is as welcome as are disciplinary studies, ranging from the social sciences and humanities to the natural sciences and engineering. Besides its empirical focus the journal promotes discussions about European traditions and perspectives in futures research. Founded by the European Association for Sport Management, the Journal sets out to enhance our understanding of the role of sport management and sport bodies in social life and the way social, political and economic forces and practices affect these organizations. ESMQ covers all types of sport organization and examines public, voluntary and commercial sport bodies, both amateur and professional; businesses that produce sport-related commodities; and service organizations in the sport industry. ESMQ also explores how non-sporting bodies, such as the state, regulatory authorities, sponsors and so forth, affect the structure and processes of sport organizations.
