Machine Learning: Engineering is a multidisciplinary open access journal dedicated to the application of machine learning (ML), artificial intelligence (AI) and data-driven computational methods across all areas of engineering. The journal also publishes research that presents methodological, theoretical, or conceptual advances in machine learning and AI with applications to engineering.

Marine Georesources & Geotechnology publishes research applied to the scientific and engineering aspects, and the management and utilization, of seafloor sediments and rocks. The journal is intended for researchers and engineers, in both academia and industry, who seek solutions to problems in marine mineral resources and civil engineering. Areas covered range from marine minerals exploration and recovery to anchoring and mooring systems, bottom installations, and coastal engineering structures. The journal includes the study of acoustical, biological, chemical, mechanical, and physical properties affecting the geological system of the seafloor and response of this system to applied static and dynamic loads. Special emphasis is placed on the environmental aspects of seafloor exploration and development. The journal accepts contributions on topics such as shipboard mining systems, seafloor lodes, nodules, phosphates, crusts and placers, pipelines, platforms, and processing and transportation, as well as analytic techniques related to marine mining. This journal aims to provide a medium for presentation and discussion of the latest developments in research, design, fabrication and in-service experience relating to marine structures, i.e., all structures of steel, concrete, light alloy or composite construction having an interface with the sea, including ships, fixed and mobile offshore platforms, submarine and submersibles, pipelines, subsea systems for shallow and deep ocean operations and coastal structures such as piers.Marine Structures covers:• Definition of the ocean environment and of loads exerted by waves, currents, winds, tides and ice;• Seabed foundations and structural interaction;• Evaluation of static and dynamic structural response including collapse behaviour;• collision mechanics;• Fatigue and fracture;• Materials (and their selection), corrosion and other forms of degradation;• Formulation and application of design methods and criteria including use of reliability analysis, optimisation techniques and CAD;• Inspection and structural monitoring, repair and maintenance;• Fabrication, launching, installation and decommissioning techniques.Papers submitted to the journal must be original and will be refereed to a high standard. Manuscripts contributing, but not limited, to the understanding of properties and processes in the marine environment in the aspect of basic sciences: biology, chemistry, physics, ecology and geochemistry will be considered for publication. Special attention will be given to papers devoted to phenomena occurring in the marine environment in the zones characterized by:
• gradients of properties (salinity, red-ox, temperature, light field, others),
• phases boundaries both abiotic and biotic/abiotic (aqueous/solid, aqueous/gaseous, biotic/solid and biotic/aqueous),
• marine-land boundary.

We also encourage the submission of manuscripts dealing with multidisciplinary approaches to the investigated phenomena, as well as those devoted to manifestations of contemporary global issues e.g. climate warming and other global change-related phenomena, and/or describing possible and actual adaptations to threats brought by these changes. Preference will be given to manuscripts covering innovative research of global significance over those devoted to strictly local issues, and to papers contributing to the marine ecosystem functioning over strictly descriptive ones.
