Urban Affairs Review (UAR), peer-reviewed and published bi-monthly, is a leading scholarly journal on urban issues and themes. Urban Ecosystems is an international journal devoted to scientific investigations of the ecology of urban environments and their policy implications. The scope of the journal is broad, including interactions between urban ecosystems and associated suburban and rural environments. Special emphasis is placed on the ecology of urban forests. Contributions may span a range of specific subject areas as they may apply to urban environments: biodiversity, biogeochemistry, conservation, ecosystem ecology, environmental chemistry, hydrology, landscape architecture, meteorology and climate, policy, population biology, social and human ecology, soil science, urban planning and wildlife and fisheries management.

Urban Forestry and Urban Greening is a refereed, international journal aimed at presenting high-quality research with urban and peri-urban woody and non-woody vegetation and its use, planning, design, establishment and management as its main topics. Urban Forestry and Urban Greening concentrates on all tree-dominated (as joint together in the urban forest) as well as other green resources in and around urban areas, such as woodlands, public and private urban parks and gardens, urban nature areas, street tree and square plantations, botanical gardens and cemeteries.The journal welcomes fundamental and applied research papers, as well as review papers and short communications. Contributions should focus on one or more of the following aspects:Form and functions of urban forests and other vegetation, including aspects of urban ecology.Policy-making, planning and design related to urban forests and other vegetation.Selection and establishment of tree resources and other vegetation for urban environments.Management of urban forests and other vegetation.Original contributions of a high academic standard are invited from a wide range of disciplines and fields, including forestry, biology, horticulture, arboriculture, landscape ecology, pathology, soil science, hydrology, landscape architecture, landscape planning, urban planning and design, economics, sociology, environmental psychology, medicine, and education.Special attention will be given to interdisciplinary research as developed under the approaches of, for example, urban forestry, arboriculture, urban greening, urban ecology, urban health, urban agriculture, urban horticulture, urban silviculture, and community forestry.The papers should be written in a style that is understandable to specialists from other disciplines as well as interested policy-makers and higher-level practitioners.

Urban Forum is concerned with both the broad developmental issues of urbanization in the Third World, and no less provides a distinctive African focus to the subject. Urban societies are examined from a variety of perspectives: issues of local governance, the role of city planning in free market systems, and the impact of multiethnic and multicultural formations in urban affairs. The journal makes a special effort to examine specific cities in developing nations as legal and cultural entities in their own right. Urban Forum can be a core journal in sociology, political science, economics, as well as urban studies.

Urban Geography publishes original papers on problem-oriented current research by geographers and other social scientists on urban policy; race, poverty, and ethnicity in the city; international differences in urban form and function; historical preservation; the urban housing market; and provision of services and urban economic activity. Included in most issues are review papers and special features (published since 1980).

A peer-reviewed jornal, Urban Studies provides an international forum of social and economic contributions to the fields of urban and regional planning. Since then, the journal has expanded to encompass the increasing range of disciplines and approaches that have been brought to bear on urban and regional problems.

The Urban Water Journal provides a forum for the research and professional communities dealing with water systems in the urban environment, directly contributing to the discussion on sustainable development. Particular emphasis is placed on the analysis of interrelationships and interactions between the individual water systems, urban water bodies (including groundwater) and the environment. The Journal encourages the adoption of an integrated approach to solve the numerous problems associated with sustainable urban water management.The Urban Water Journal focuses on the water-related infrastructure in the city; namely potable water supply and distribution, sewerage and storm drainage. Specific topics include: network management, operation and rehabilitation; demand management and levels of service, water recycling and source control at multiple scales, as well as potable and wastewater treatment systems, where they relate to and interact with their respective networks. Papers discussing issues related to the monitoring, utilisation and management of urban groundwater are encouraged, as are papers concerned with water-sensitive planning and design (including analysis of interactions of the urban water cycle with city planning and landscaping), decision-making and informatics support, operational and asset management and associated economics.
