Founded in 1922, Social Forces is a renowned journal of sociological research associated with the Southern Sociological Society. It highlights sociological inquiry but also explores realms shared with social psychology, anthropology, political science, history, and economics. Each issue usually includes ten to fourteen articles, twenty to twenty-five full book reviews, and five to ten "take note" reviews. Social Forces is widely circulated in the US and over one hundred foreign countries.

Social Justice Research publishes original papers that have broad implications for social scientists investigating the origins, structures, and consequences of justice in human affairs. The journal encompasses justice-related research work using traditional and novel approaches, and spanning the social sciences and beyond: psychology, sociology, anthropology, economics, social policy research, political science, law, management science, and others. This multidisciplinary approach advances the integration of diverse social science perspectives. Social Networks is an interdisciplinary and international quarterly. It provides a common forum for representatives of anthropology, sociology, history, social psychology, political science, human geography, biology, economics, communications science and other disciplines who share an interest in the study of the empirical structure of social relations and associations that may be expressed in network form. It publishes both theoretical and substantive papers. Critical reviews of major theoretical or methodological approaches using the notion of networks in the analysis of social behaviour are also included, as are reviews of recent books dealing with social networks and social structure.The editorial criteria for acceptance will be based on the degree to which a paper makes a broad theoretical or methodological, and empirically relevant, contribution to the study of social networks. Acceptable papers may range from abstract, formal mathematical derivations to concrete, descriptive case studies of particular social networks. The editors are therefore particularly interested in papers that attempt to uncover the processes by which social networks emerge, evolve and have consequences for other aspects of behaviour. Sociologus is an internationally known, peer-reviewed journal of social anthropology. It is available online and in print and is listed in the major scholarly indexes. Founded in 1925 by Richard Thurnwald, it is one of the best-known anthropology journals in the German-speaking world. The journal is dedicated to empirical research on cultural diversity, social processes and their transformations and the contrasting forms of social relations. It has no fixed topical or regional focus, but concerns itself with the comparative interpretation and explanation of human behaviour.

The South Asian Diaspora, shaped by dispersions of people, goods, ideas and beliefs that flowed from and through the Indian Subcontinent which is currently one of the world's largest diasporas. India, Pakistan, Bangladesh, Nepal, Sri Lanka, Bhutan and the Maldives all anchor a sense of home for people who have moved outside the region through the centuries. These territories evoke emotional, social, political, economic, cultural and literary affiliations as well which find expression in multiple ways. The diaspora is also marked by struggles over meanings and tensions both amongst the diasporics and with people in the countries where the diasporics now inhabit. In South Asian Diaspora we aim to explore some of the issues that the South Asian diaspora presents for the contemporary world. Storytelling, Self, Society is an interdisciplinary journal that invites scholarship addressing any topic related to Storytelling--from its role as performing art to contemporary applications in a variety of professional fields. We welcome manuscripts from scholars in humanities and social science disciplines, including psychology, library science, literary studies, folklore, anthropology, sociology, communication, rhetoric, performance studies, theatre, history, feminist and queer studies, and ethnography, as well as from storytelling artists and practitioners, including those applying storytelling in the fields of education, health care, social work, business, law, peace-building and environmental education.Our purpose is to gather the building blocks of new disciplinary roles, structures, and methodologies for Storytelling in the 21st century. We seek articles that reflect the highest standards of the various disciplines on which we draw, and to which we intend to contribute. In addition to standard monographs, Storytelling, Self, Society seeks to extend the critical vocabulary of contemporary storytelling, and so solicits reviews of storytelling performances and individual texts, as well as essays that review several performances and texts. We also recognize that storytelling is a longstanding discipline in itself; thus we welcome personal ethnography and reflection, as well as stories that have evolved from the oral tradition and reflect upon the endurance and evolution of oral traditions in the present day.We recognize the profound and often contested influences of storytelling and cultural narratives on the health of the individual, the community, and the planet. We seek ways to evaluate, measure, and focus those influences to impact our scholarship, our disciplines, our society, and ourselves. INCREASING TO FIVE ISSUES AND NEW AIMS AND SCOPE IN 2011!The Asia Pacific Journal of Anthropology (TAPJA) is a leading refereed scholarly journal which publishes social and cultural anthropological research with a focus on the Asia and Pacific region, including Australia. This region has been a crucible for significant advances in the discipline and remains an important site for the development of concepts and debates. The international focus of the journal encompasses regional scholars and emerging voices from centres of research in the region. Contributions may include digital media files, including video, that are published in the online version. TAPJA publishes review essays, reviews of books and multimedia products (including music, films, and web sites) relevant to anthropological research and education.
