Higher Education Quarterly publishes articles concerned with policy, strategic management and ideas in higher education. A substantial part of its contents is concerned with reporting research findings in ways that bring out their relevance to senior managers and policy makers at institutional and national levels, and to academics who are not necessarily specialists in the academic study of higher education.

Higher Education Research and Development (HERD) is a refereed international journal, established in 1982 as the principal learned journal of the Higher Education Research and Development Society of Australasia.Higher Education Research and Development aims to serve the needs of teachers, researchers, students, administrators and those concerned with the present and future of higher education. The journal publishes research-based articles on the theory and practice of higher education. This includes comparative reviews and critically reflective case studies, as well as empirically-based papers.
