Asia Pacific Journal of Public Administration is a scholarly double blind peer-reviewed journal dedicated to promoting the study, research and enhancement of public governance, policy, administration and management in and beyond Asia and the Pacific. It welcomes contributions that address theory and practice from country, comparative and thematic perspectives. The contributions can be:

  • free-standing articles (5,000-7,000 words)
  • articles (5,000-7,000 words) in proposed or commissioned special issues or symposia
  • discussions of new developments and trends (3,000-4,000 words)
  • research notes (2,000-3,000 words)

The Journal’s target audience comprises scholars, policy-makers and managers, including those engaged in education and research in the expanding MPA and DPA communities.

Appraisal and review

Manuscripts submitted to the Asia Pacific Journal of Public Administration are subject to initial appraisal by the Editors and, if found suitable for further consideration, to double blind peer review by expert referees.

Asia Pacific Journal of Sport and Social Science

Asia Pacific Journal of Sport and Social Science provides a unique English-language forum for East Asian sports research. The aim of the journal is to publish work by both Asian and non-Asian scholars on the social significance of sport in the Asia Pacific region. Submitted articles may come from any of the main social science disciplines – including social anthropology, human geography, social and economic history, political science, and sociology. Multi-disciplinary and interdisciplinary submissions are also encouraged. Although it is anticipated that most of the published articles will be based on qualitative or mixed method research, consideration will also be given to quantitative studies which are sufficiently well theorised. While the majority of the work to appear in the journal has focussed on Japan, South Korea, the People’s Republic of China, and Taiwan, articles on Hong Kong (SAR), Singapore, the Philippines, and the Pacific Islands are also encouraged.

Asia Pacific Translation and Intercultural Studies ( APTIS) intends to provide a transnational platform for Asia Pacific scholars to present their researches in translation studies and to forge closer ties with scholars in the other parts of the world. It aims to enhance academic investigations and further the exchanges of translation and cultural studies among global theoreticians and practitioners. It seeks to offer great opportunities for the exports of the achievements of translation studies and cultures of this region, and eventually promote the exchanges between western and eastern cultures.
 
The journal lays a unique emphasis on its aim to present an authentic and original overview on translation and intercultural studies in Asia Pacific region. It will cover a broad spectrum of disciplines in the humanities and social sciences: literature, linguistics, history, art, media and communications, cultural studies, political science, international relations, sociology and anthropology as long as the focus of discussion is on translation and culture. APTIS accepts original research papers; case studies; book reviews; English translations of short stories, autobiographies, poems, and plays from authors within and outside Asia Pacific. Scholarly objectivity and originality are of utmost importance.
