Chinese Optics Letters (COL), considered to be one of the most important journals in optics in China, has been published since January 2003. Before 2003, this journal is available as the Chinese Journal of Laser B, which is also a core journal in the fields of lasers and optics. The first issue of this journal appeared in 1982.COL is published monthly by the Chinese Optics Letters Manuscript Office and is sponsored by the Chinese Optical Society, undertaken by the Shanghai Institute of Optics and Fine Mechanics and the Chinese Academy of Sciences, and is distributed by the Optical Society of America outside of the Chinese mainland.COL is one of the leading Chinese journals for optics in China. The purpose of COL is to promote the generation, application, and archiving of knowledge in optics and to disseminate it worldwide. Its subject coverage includes Fiber Optics and Optical Communications, Lasers and Laser Optics, Nonlinear Optics, Image Processing, Instrumentation, Measurement and Metrology, Integrated Optics, Materials, Quantum Optics, and Ultrafast Optics.COL reports on the latest developments and achievements in all fields of optics. The average time to publication from receipt of the paper to publication is about six months.COL has reported a large number of creative, important, and exciting results. Most of the papers published in COL are indexed by the main indexing systems of the world such as SCI-E, EI, and CA. COL is also the core source periodical of the Chinese Science Citation Database and the Chinese Academic Journal Comprehensive Evaluation Database.
Chinese Physics B covers the latest developments and achievements in all branches of physics. Articles, including papers and rapid communications, are those approved as creative contributions to the whole discipline of physics and of significance to their own fields. Subject coverage includes: Surface physics, such as the atomic structures of surfaces, theory of electron states and photoemission studies of surfaces. Spectroscopic studies, such as Raman scattering, laser spectroscopy, phonon transitions and interaction between condensed matter and radiation. Structure and phase transitions, such as the structure and properties of crystals and nanocrystalline materials. Superconductivity, such as the synthesis, structure and electronic states of high-Tc oxides. Atomic and molecular physics. Magnetism, such as colossal magnetoresistance in perovskite manganites and great magnetic entropy in rare-earth compounds. Optical physics and applications, such as laser molecular beam epitaxy of oxide films. Confinement and heating in fusion plasma. Material processing and film preparation based on plasma physics.
Chinese Physics C covers research into the theory and experiment of particle physics, nuclear physics, particle and nuclear astrophysics, and cosmology.
Chinese Physics Letters provides rapid publication of short reports and important research in all fields of physics and is published by the Chinese Physical Society and hosted online by IOP Publishing.
Founded in 1958, M.E.Sharpe is a privately held publisher of books and journals in the social sciences and humanities, including titles in economics, political science, business, management, public administration, literature, and history. We also publish both original works and translations in Asian and East European studies. Many of our most widely adopted textbooks are now available in cost-saving digital editions through the Sharpe E-Textbook Center, a service that offers many important benefits to students and instructors.Several Nobel Prize winners, including Kenzaburo Oe and Wassily Leontief are among our authors. Our East Gate Books imprint is widely recognized as representing the best in Asian Studies. In addition, we publish single and multi-volume reference works designed to meet the needs of students and researchers from high school through college under the Sharpe Reference imprint. The full, updated content of many of these references is also available electronically through Sharpe//Online Reference, an exciting concept in digital reference ownership that gives libraries numerous features not available with print editions.M.E.Sharpe’s highly regarded periodicals include journals in sociology, political economy, management studies, and mental health, along with numerous monthly, bi-monthly, and quarterly translation journals in our Asian and East European series. Among the list are the cutting-edge International Journal of Electronic Commerce and Journal of Management Information Systems as well as the widely respected Journal of Post-Keynesian Economics, Challenge: The Magazine of Economic Affairs, Problems of Post-Communism, and Journal of Advertising. .
