Inland Water Biology

ISSN: 1995-0829eISSN: 1995-0837
JUFO Level 1

Inland Water Biology is the only journal covering fundamental research into all trophic levels of aquatic organisms: from viruses to fishes and aquatic mammals. These results are useful in comparative analysis of ecosystem function in different Earth regions. Contents include the appearance and development of a biota in newly created manmade water reservoirs; the impact of zoogenic factors on the structure and functioning of aquatic ecosystems; and the role of small rivers in forming hydrobiological characteristics of recipient water reservoirs, and faunogenesis. Inland Water Biology benefits researchers studying all life forms in lakes, dam ponds and reservoirs, ponds, inner seas and rivers. It will also interest environmental officials and regulators, and graduate and post-graduate students in biology, ecology and geography. The journal partners with academics conducting research in its topical areas, and managers designing and supervising protection and rational use of water resources.

International Journal of Limnology

ISSN: 2823-1465
JUFO Level 1

International Journal of Limnology (IJL) publishes original articles and reviews on all aspects dealing with the physical or chemical properties, biology and ecology of freshwater and brackish systems. Manuscripts can be proposed about studies performed either in the laboratory or at field. Said differently, IJL aims at providing a unique media for topics addressing inland water environments (physics, chemistry, biogeochemistry, biology, ecology), from both fundamental and functional aspects to applications and management issues. IJL promotes rapid peer-review and rapid publication. In 2020, time from submission to first decision was 1-2 weeks and time from acceptance to online publication was 4 weeks. The official language of the journal is English.

International Review of Hydrobiology

ISSN: 1434-2944eISSN: 1522-2632
JUFO Level 1

Throughout the decades, the development of water ecology has been reflected in this journal: the analysis and assessment of biological structures in water in their interconnection with the internal and external cycle of materials. Today the articles reflect the journal's title: Hydrobiology - the science of life processes in water. It is international, forming the basis for relevant decisions in politics and society, since mankind is dependent on water in so many ways. An international team of scientists guarantees the international character and comprehensive coverage of this journal. ISSN: 1434-2944 (print), 1522-2632 (online) Volume 95. 6 Issues in 2010. How to cite: To make sure that references to this journal are correctly recorded and resolved (for example in CrossRef or ISI Web of Science), please use the following abbreviated title in any citations: 'Int. Rev. Hydrobiol.' (punctuation may vary according to the style of the citing journal).

Journal of Applied Aquaculture

ISSN: 1045-4438eISSN: 1545-0805
JUFO Level 1

The Journal of Applied Aquaculture is a platform for the sharing of practical information needed by researchers to meet the needs of investors, farm managers, extension agents and policy makers working to adapt aquaculture theory to achieve economic and food security objectives in the real world. The journal emphasizes multi-disciplinary research and case studies that propose financially and logistically viable solutions to observable problems. To make it more accessible to farmers and non-specialists in addition to professional aquaculture researchers, authors publishing in the Journal of Applied Aquaculture are requested to avoid basic research that has only downstream or marginal applicability to actual farming systems. Technical jargon should be kept to a minimum. Tables and figures that facilitate comprehension are encouraged. An economic and feasibility analysis should accompany any proposed technological innovation. Both original research and reviews will be considered. Suitable topics include, but are by no means limited to:Practical diet formulation and food conversion efficienciesFeed manufacturing, on-farm and industrialTechniques to minimize stress, low-tech transportCase studies from development projects, small and large-scaleCost/benefit analysis of aquaculture in light of environmental conflictsTechniques for the management of genetic quality in broodstockReview of aquaculture policy, successes and failuresMarket analyses and competition in regional and international tradeQuarantine procedures and prophylaxisOn-farm trialsNew materials and construction techniquesUse of probiotics in health and water quality management Articles can be of varying length, depending upon the subject matter. Authors are also encouraged to suggest topics for special thematic issues. Publication office: Taylor & Francis, Inc., 325 Chestnut Street, Suite 800, Philadelphia, PA 19106.
