ASQ has been at the cutting edge of organizational studies since the field began. This top-tier journal regularly publishes the best theoretical and empirical papers based on dissertations and on the evolving and new work of more established scholars, as well as interdisciplinary work in organizational theory, and informative book reviews.

As the official publication of the Division on Black American Literature and Culture of the Modern Language Association, the quarterly journal African American Review promotes a lively exchange among writers and scholars in the arts, humanities, and social sciences who hold diverse perspectives on African American literature and culture.

African Arts presents original research and critical discourse on traditional, contemporary, and popular African arts and expressive cultures. Since 1967, the journal has reflected the dynamism and diversity of several fields of humanistic study, publishing richly illustrated articles in full color, incorporating the most current theory, practice, and intercultural dialogue. The journal offers readers peer-reviewed scholarly articles concerning a striking range of art forms and visual cultures of the world’s second largest continent and its diasporas, as well as special thematic issues, book and exhibition reviews, features on museum collections, exhibition previews, artist portfolios, photo essays, edgy dialogues, and editorials. African Arts promotes investigation of the interdisciplinary connections among the arts, anthropology, history, language, politics, religion, performance, and cultural and global studies.

The African Historical Review is the successor to Kleio: A Journal of Historical Studies from Africa, which was published by the Department of History at the University of South Africa (Unisa) for more than thirty-five years. It therefore has a long and distinguished history. Originally conceived as a research and teaching forum for histories taught in the Department and to promote the work of students and staff, the journal has more recently been transformed into a publication in which high quality articles on a wide variety of historical subjects have appeared. The outstanding level of professional research and writing displayed in the journal has been recognised internationally, and from 2004 it became an accredited academic journal in South Africa, earning subsidy from the Department of Education. It is being relaunched as the African Historical Review in order to attract both a broader readership and contributor base and to showcase scholarship beyond southern Africa thus emphasising its intention to articulate southern African studies with continental African scholarship. The African Historical Review is independent of any professional society or association. Its mission, as befits its base in Africa and its new name, is to be transdisciplinary, responsive to theoretical developments in research relating to the continent of Africa and within fields closely linked to historical and heritage studies (including teaching) more generally. We welcome contributions from both established and younger scholars on themes from or in Africa, and would like to encourage innovative writing and research on a variety of topics and with an array of theoretical frameworks. This is the first academic journal that directly addresses the needs of scholars working in the important field of African Diaspora studies. It advances the analytical and interrogative discourses that constitute this distinctive interdisciplinary study of the deterritorialised and transnational nature of the African and Black Diaspora.Beyond essentialist modes of theorizing, the journal locates the movement of African descended populations (geographical, cultural, social, political and psychological) in the context of globalized and transnational spaces by emphasizing the centrality of African and Black Diaspora.The journal publishes research articles, commentaries and book reviews. Aggressive Behavior will consider manuscripts in the English language concerning the fields of Animal Behavior, Anthropology, Ethology, Psychiatry, Psychobiology, Psychology, and Sociology which relate to either overt or implied conflict behaviors. Papers concerning mechanisms underlying or influencing behaviors generally regarded as aggressive and the physiological and/or behavioral consequences of being subject to such behaviors will fall within the scope of the journal. Review articles will be considered as well as empirical and theoretical articles.
