Geology of Ore Deposits (Geologiya rudnykh mestorozhdenii) is one of the few special periodicals devoted to metallic and nonmetallic mineral resources and the conditions of their formation and distribution. Founded in 1959, it offers original scientific articles and reviews on a wide range of problems in theoretical and applied science. The coverage focuses on such problems as deep structure of the Earth, geodynamic processes and ore formation; distribution pattern of metallogenic zones and mineral deposits; geology and localization conditions of large and unique metallic and nonmetallic deposits; mineralogy of metallic and nonmetallic deposits; physicochemical parameters, isotopic characteristics, and geochemical environment of ore deposition; evolution of ore-forming systems; radiogeology and radiogeoecology, economic problems of ore districts and deposits development.

The International Journal of Coal Geology deals with fundamental and applied aspects of the geology and petrology of coal, oil/gas source rocks and shale gas resources. JGE: a journal for map-based geochemistry.Scope:The journal is dedicated to the publication of research studies that cover new developments in the application of analytical geochemistry and geoinformatics. Themes considered by the journal include:- Geochemical exploration and the genesis of mineral deposits- Metal transfer processes in large-scale mineralized areas- Chemical and transport processes for basinal fluids associated with mineral deposits and petroleum resources - Interdisciplinary studies at the boundaries between organic geochemistry, metal transport, and sites of mineral accumulation- Evaluation of the effects of historical mining activities on the surface environment- Environmental geochemistry and geology including metal migration and accumulation processes in the near-surface environment and impacts on human health- Other related studies.To create a platform for the repository of map-based geochemistry data, a new section entitled "For the record", is designated for publishing stand-alone geochemical mapping results.In order to manage manuscripts from all fields of study, the chief editors have divided the journal into topical sections: studies related to geoinformatics, geochemical exploration (excluding petroleum and organic geochemistry), geochemical baseline mapping, urban geochemistry, and map-based environmental geochemistry, including site characterization and remediation, are managed by Prof. Benedetto De Vivo; studies involving applications of geochemistry to ore genesis, the environment and to human health, geochemical distribution processes in mineralized areas affecting the surface environment, and geochemometrics are managed by Dr. Robert Ayuso.To further help in the delivery of high quality papers covering the breadth of themes to the journal, associate editors are assigned to individual papers within their own expertise from either editor.

Lithology and Mineral Resources (Litologiya i poleznye iskopaemye) reviews a wide range of problems related to the formation of sedimentary rocks and ores. Special attention is devoted to comparison of ancient sedimentary rock and ore formation with present-day processes, as the idea of actualism has always constituted one of the bases of the scientific philosophy of lithologists. A major part of the journal is devoted to comparative analysis of sedimentary processes on continents and in oceans, as well as the genetic aspects of the formation of sedimentary and hydrothermal-sedimentary mineral resources. The journal was founded in 1963 by Academician N. M. Strakhov. It will be of interest to lithologists, petrographers, geochemists, mineralogists, ore geologists and metallogenists, as well as to other geologists, ecologists, researchers of experimental and analytical laboratories, and graduate students.

Mineral Processing and Extractive Metallurgy Review publishes papers dealing with both applied and theoretical aspects of extractive and process metallurgy and mineral processing. It emphasizes research germane to specific industrial processes and research that examines economic and environmental issues as well as basic engineering technology. Review papers devoted to ore genesis, properties and uses of minerals, the scientific, engineering and economic aspects of the extraction, separation and purification of minerals and metals, and the post-treatment of mineral processing and extractive treatment of mineral processing and extractive metallurgy effluents are also invited. In addition to regular issues, special issues addressing narrowly focused subjects of regional or topical significance are published when the Editors feel there is sufficient interest among readers.

Ore Geology Reviews aims to familiarize all earth scientists with recent advances in a number of interconnected disciplines related to the study of, and search for, ore deposits. The Extractive Industries and Society is the one journal devoted to disseminating in-depth analysis of the socio-economic and environmental impacts of mining and oil and gas production on societies, both past and present. It provides a platform for the exchange of ideas on a wide range of issues and debates on the extractive industries and development, bringing together research undertaken by an interdisciplinary group of social scientists in academia, government, the NGO community and industry. Topics covered by the journal include environmental management at mines and rigs; Corporate Social Responsibility and community development; the environmental and social impacts of artisanal and small-scale mining in developing countries; corruption and the extractive industries; industry reform; the donor community and the extractive industries; climate change and fossil fuel extraction; and taxation and foreign direct investment in the sector.
