Dynamics of Atmospheres and Oceans

ISSN: 0377-0265eISSN: 1872-6879
JUFO Level 1

Dynamics of Atmospheres and Oceans is an international journal for research related to the dynamical and physical processes governing atmospheres, oceans and climate.Authors are invited to submit articles, short contributions or scholarly reviews in the following areas:•Dynamic meteorology•Physical oceanography•Geophysical fluid dynamics•Climate variability and climate change•Atmosphere-ocean-biosphere-cryosphere interactions•Prediction and predictability•Scale interactionsPapers of theoretical, computational, experimental and observational investigations are invited, particularly those that explore the fundamental nature - or bring together the interdisciplinary and multidisciplinary aspects - of dynamical and physical processes at all scales. Papers that explore air-sea interactions and the coupling between atmospheres, oceans, and other components of the climate system are particularly welcome.

JUFO Level 1

Elementa: Science of the Anthropocene is a trans-disciplinary, open-access journal committed to the facilitation of collaborative, peer-reviewed research. With the ultimate objective of accelerating scientific solutions to the challenges presented by this era of human impact, it is uniquely structured into distinct knowledge domains, and gives authors the opportunity to publish in one or multiple domains, helping them to present their research and commentary to interested readers from disciplines related to their own.

Engineering Geology

ISSN: 0013-7952eISSN: 1872-6917
JUFO Level 2

Engineering Geology is an international interdisciplinary journal bridging the fields of engineering geology, geomorphology, structural geology, geophysics, geotechnics, geochemistry, and geology. Geological studies must show relevance to engineering, environmental concerns, and safety.Topics of interest include hot-waste storage, groundwater rehabilitation, landscape planning, natural hazards (seismicity, hydrology, geomorphology, subsidence, slope stability), pollution and contamination, and remote sensing techniques including LiDAR.Paper types considered shall be original research articles, case histories, and comprehensive reviews. Case studies, in particular, should emphasize why the paper is of interest to the international readership of this journal, and/or what new or novel research or analytical methods are being presented. The journal is intended for academic scientists, industry and applied researchers, and policy and decision makers.

Facies

ISSN: 0172-9179eISSN: 1612-4820
JUFO Level 1

The journal Facies presents papers dealing with the interpretation of ancient and modern biotopes and carbonate depositional environments by means of facies analysis in its broadest sense. Once the central part of research in hydrocarbon exploration, facies analysis integrates modern and ancient biogeological processes of a changing earth. Special emphasis is placed on paleobiology and -ecology, basin evolution, sedimentology including diagenesis and geochemistry, as well as studies emphasizing the impact of life on earth history.

2009 Impact Factor - 0.702.Five Year Impact Factor - 1.060.169;2010 Thomson Reuters, 2009 Journal Citation Reports174;History GFF was founded in 1872 by the then 8220;Geologiska F246;reningen i Stockholm8221; under the name of Geologiska F246;reningens i Stockholm F246;rhandlingar (8216;Transactions of the Geological Society in Stockholm'). It was issued under that name for 122 years i.e. 1872-1993, volumes 1-115 (ISSN 0016-786X). As from 1994, volume 116, the journal was formally renamed GFF, its nickname since 1963 (an acronym of its original name).Aims and ScopeGFF is the journal of the Geological Society of Sweden. It is an international scientific journal that publishes papers in English covering the whole field of geology and palaeontology, i.e. petrology, mineralogy, stratigraphy, systematic palaeontology, palaeogeography, historical geology and Quaternary geology. Systematic descriptions of fossils, minerals and rocks are an important part of GFF's publishing record. Papers on regional or local geology should deal with Balto-Scandian or Northern European geology, or with geologically related areas. Papers on geophysics, geochemistry, biogeochemistry, climatology and hydrology should have a geological context. Descriptions of new methods (analytical, instrumental or numerical), should be relevant to the broad scope of the journal. Review articles are welcome, and may be solicited occasionally. Thematic issues are also possible. The journal emphasizes high quality and informative illustration, in both line drawings and photographs. Please be advised that this journal no longer has page charges.
