JUFO Level 1

The Rivista Italiana di Paleontologia e Stratigrafia was founded in 1895. It publishes original papers dealing with all fields of paleontology and micropaleontology, stratigraphy, biostratigraphy and sedimentology, mostly from the Italian and Mediterranean region, but also from other Tethyan areas, like for example Central Asia and Himalaya. All papers are written in English since 1994 and are reviewed by international experts. The journal is currently indexed and abstracted by AGI, ISI, Current Contents, Georef, Geological Abstract and SciSearch. The Rivista Italiana di Paleontologia e Stratigrafia is published in three issues (one volume) each year in A4 format.

Rocks and Minerals

ISSN: 0035-7529eISSN: 1940-1191

Amateurs as well as professional scientists delight in and pore over Rocks & Minerals, which has published feature articles on mineralogy, geology, and paleontology since 1926. Regular departments explore such topics as minerals for the collector; microminerals; recent books, videos, and DVDs; coming events; museum news; and personalities in the field. Detailed lists of collecting opportunities in specific localities are published periodically, as are special theme issues. Spectacular color photographs appear throughout each issue. Rocks & Minerals works with the Mineralogical Society of America to promote cooperation between collectors and professional mineralogists. The magazine is affiliated with the Friends of Mineralogy as well as the Midwest Federation of Mineralogical and Geological Societies and the Eastern Federation of Mineralogical and Lapidary Societies. Publication office: Taylor & Francis, Inc., 325 Chestnut Street, Suite 800, Philadelphia, PA 19106.

Russian Journal of Pacific Geology

ISSN: 1819-7140eISSN: 1819-7159
JUFO Level 1

Founded in 1982, the Russian Journal of Pacific Geology highlights problems of Earth sciences covering a vast region of the Pacific Ocean, marginal seas, and continental framing. The Asian-Pacific represents a unique junction of oceanic and continental plates, and distinctive mineral resources are: tin, gold, platinum, and oil and gas on the shelf. The Pacific Fire Ring of active volcanoes is the most hazardous part of the planet with high seismic activity and tsunami waves. The range of topics covered is diverse: paleontology and stratigraphy, geology of ore deposits, seismology and seismotectonics, geophysics and geodynamics, magmatism and metamorphism, geochemistry, petrology and geochronology, mineralogy and petrography, geomorphology and tectonics, geology of the seas and oceans floor, sedimentology, oil and gas geology, and more. The peer-reviewed journal also publishes critical notes and comments, reviews, chronicles of major events in scientific life, and bibliography.

Sedimentary Geology

ISSN: 0037-0738eISSN: 1879-0968
JUFO Level 1

In scope, the journal encompasses all aspects of research into sediments and sedimentary rocks at all spatial and temporal scales.Sedimentary Geology aims to provide a forum for the publication of high-quality research papers of general interest across the entire range of subjects falling under the umbrella of sedimentary geology, from techniques of sediment analysis to geodynamical aspects of sedimentary-basin evolution.Papers submitted to Sedimentary Geology should place the research in a broad context so that it is of interest to the diverse, international readership of the journal. Thus, papers that focus solely on a local theme or area will not be accepted for publication.Benefits to authorsWe also provide many author benefits, such as free PDFs, a liberal copyright policy, special discounts on Elsevier publications and much more.
