At present, transport is one of the key branches playing a crucial role in the development of economy. Reliable and properly organized transport services are required for a professional performance of industry, construction and agriculture. The public mood and efficiency of work also largely depend on the valuable functions of a carefully chosen transport system. A steady increase in transportation is accompanied by growing demands for a higher quality of transport services and optimum efficiency of transport performance. Currently, joint efforts taken by the transport experts and governing institutions of the country are required to develop and enhance the performance of the national transport system conducting theoretical and empirical research. The journal Transport publishes articles in the fields of transport policy, fundamentals of the transport system, technology for carrying passengers and freight using road, railway, inland waterways, sea and air transport, technology for multimodal transportation and logistics, loading technology, roads, railways, airports, ports, pipeline transport, industrial and technological transport, agricultural motor vehicles, traffic safety and environment protection, design, manufacture and exploitation of motor vehicles, transport energetics, fuels, lubricants and maintenance materials, teamwork of customs and transport, insurance, transport information technologies, transport economics and management, transport standards, transport educology, transport history, etc. All papers published in the journal Transport are peer reviewed by the members of the Editorial Board or by the appointed experts.

Transport in Porous Media
Transport in Porous Media publishes original research on the physical and chemical aspects of transport of extensive quantities such as mass of a fluid phase, mass of a component of a phase, momentum and energy, in single and multiphase flow in a (possibly deformable) porous medium domain. These are presented in the context of chemical, civil, agricultural, petroleum and mechanical engineering. Transport phenomena, understood from the microscopic scale upward, form the basis for deterministic and stochastic models that describe them. The models are adaptable to describe flow and contaminant transport in aquifers; oil and gas movement in petroleum reservoirs; solvent drives and enhanced oil recovery; heat and mass transport in packed bed reactors in chemical engineering, in geothermal reservoirs and in building materials; spread of pollutants from radioactive waste repositories; filtration processes, and biomedical studies of fluid and chemical transport in lungs and other organs.

Transportation Geotechnics aims to publish high quality, theoretical and applied papers on all aspects of geotechnics for roads, highways, railways, airfields and waterways.Topics to be covered will include: geotechnical properties of geomaterials (soils, rocks, soil and rock mixtures, and recycled and alternative materials) for rational and sustainable design and construction, behavior of compacted geomaterials, behavior of stabilized geomaterials (mixtures of soils with - cement, lime, fly ash, polymers and other kind of geomaterials), geosynthetics and reinforcement of constructed layers and interlayers, compaction technology, compaction management, maintenance technology, climatic effects such as freezing and thawing, embankments for highways and high-speed trains, transition zones, dredging, underwater geotechnics for infrastructure purposes, modeling of multi-layered structures and supporting ground under dynamic and repeated loads. The focus of Transportation Research: Part C is high-quality, scholarly research that addresses development, applications, and implications, in the field of transportation, of emerging technologies from such fields as operations research, computer science, electronics, control systems, artificial intelligence, and telecommunications, among others. Transportation Research Part D: Transport and Environment publishes original research on the environmental impacts of transportation, policy responses to those impacts, and their implications for the design, planning, and management of transportation systems. It covers all aspects of the interaction between transportation and the environment. For example, it includes papers ranging in their coverage from the local and immediate effects of transportation networks on the environments of specific geographical areas, to the widest global implications of natural resource depletion and atmospheric pollution.The journal invites submissions of research papers on all modes of transportation, including maritime and air transportation as well as land transportation, and considers their impacts on the environment in the broad sense. Papers dealing with both mobile aspects and transportation infrastructure are considered.
