The journal has as its objective the publication and wide electronic dissemination of innovative and consequential research in applied mechanics. It welcomes high-quality original research papers in all aspects of applied mechanics from contributors throughout the world. The journal aims to promote international exchange of new knowledge and recent development information in all aspects of applied mechanics. In addition to cover the classical branches of applied mechanics, namely solid mechanics, fluid mechanics, thermodynamics, and material science, the journal also encourages contributions from the newly emerging areas such as biomechanics, electromechanics, the mechanical behavior of advanced materials, nanomechanics, and many other inter-disciplinary research areas in which the concepts of applied mechanics are extensively applied and developed.

Today, the discipline of Circuit Theory has extended far beyond its traditional boundaries, while the application of circuit theoretic ideas has made notable contributions to many diverse fields of science and engineering. The International Journal of Circuit Theory and Applications is devoted to the publication of original work on both the theory and its applications. The essential feature of the material published is that the ideas or techniques of Circuit Theory should have played a prominent part in the solution or elucidation of the problem. The bringing together of papers describing advances in the theory and in the application of circuit theoretic concepts is intended to be of interest both in stimulating the wider use of such concepts and in posing new challenges for the circuit theorist. The Editorial Board which presides over the Journal is drawn from many countries in order to maintain contact with the subject area on the widest possible basis. The Board also plays an essential part in the refereeing of papers to the highest international standards. The scope of the Journal comprises all aspects of the theory and design of analog and digital circuits together with the application of the ideas and techniques of circuit theory in other fields of science and engineering. Examples of the areas covered include: Fundamental Circuit Theory together with its mathematical and computational aspects; Circuit modeling of devices; Synthesis and design of filters and active circuits; Neural networks; Nonlinear and chaotic circuits; Signal processing and VLSI; Distributed, switched and digital circuits; Power electronics; Solid state devices. Contributions to CAD and simulation are welcome. Contributions may consist of Papers or Letters to the Editor. Papers (each limited to about 7500 words) may be of a research or tutorial nature and the requirements for publication may be briefly stated as originality and significance. Letters to the Editor (each limited to about 2500 words) must also be original but generally comprise a more restricted coverage of a topic, or present some preliminary results. A Letter to the Editor may also comment on published results; pose some new problem; draw attention to some application or otherwise be of technical interest. From time-to-time Special Issues of the Journal are published. These are devoted to some topic of current importance and are edited by invited Guest Editors. Such Special Issues are announced through a Call-for-Papers in the Journal and the Guest Editors are responsible for the selection of papers to be published.

The International Journal of Engineering Science is not limited to a specific aspect of science and engineering but is instead devoted to a wide range of subfields in the engineering sciences. While it encourages a broad spectrum of contribution in the engineering sciences, its core interest lies in issues concerning material modeling and response. Articles of interdisciplinary nature are particularly welcome.The primary goal of the new editors is to maintain high quality of publications. There will be a commitment to expediting the time taken for the publication of the papers. The articles that are sent for reviews will have names of the authors deleted with a view towards enhancing the objectivity and fairness of the review process.Articles that are devoted to the purely mathematical aspects without a discussion of the physical implications of the results or the consideration of specific examples are discouraged. Articles concerning material science should not be limited merely to a description and recording of observations but should contain theoretical or quantitative discussion of the results.From time to time, the Journal will publish review articles and bring out special issues on a specific sub-field of engineering science. Authors are encouraged to contact the Editors if they would like to submit a review article or bring out a special issue of the Journal.The Editors reserve the right to reject papers without sending them out for review.

International Journal of Fatigue covers the full range of scientific and technological issues associated with fatigue. The scope of the journal includes the spectrum of characterization, testing, and modeling of degradation processes under cyclic loading, commonly referred to as fatigue. This includes compromise of functionality with cycling, in addition to formation of cracks and other damage phenomena. Phenomena of interest range from the atomic level to engineering structures or devices, including all classes of materials and material systems.

The journal presents papers from engineers and scientists working in various aspects of fracture, as well as occasional review papers in these as well as other areas. Innovative and in-depth engineering applications of fracture theory are also encouraged.
In addition, the journal publishes concise Letters in Fracture and Micromechanics which serve the Journal's Objective. Letters include brief presentations of a new idea, concept or method; new experimental observations or methods of significance; short notes of quality that do not amount to full length papers; discussion of previously published work in the Journal, and Letters Errata.
