The mission of Alzheimer's & Dementia: Journal of the Alzheimer's Association is to bridge the knowledge gaps across a wide range of bench-to-bedside investigation. The journal publishes the results of studies in: behavior, biochemistry, genetics, molecular biology, pharmacology, physiology, protein chemistry, neurology, neuropathology, psychiatry, geriatrics, neuropsychology, epidemiology, sociology, health services research, health economics, political science and public policy. Content emphasizes interdisciplinary investigations, integrative/translational articles, related to: etiology, risk factors, early detection, disease modifying interventions, prevention of dementia and applications of new technologies in health services. The journal publishes • comprehensive reviews; • research articles; • information on clinical trials; • short reports;• in-depth perspectives/open-peer commentaries; • theoretical and/or translational papers that attempt integrate knowledge across discipline;• history & politics of science/brief biographies and, • abstracts of papers presented at international meetings. Negative results, particularly clinical trials, are published as short communications.The ultimate objective is to create a novel forum for: • rapid communication of new findings, ideas or perspectives; • disseminating knowledge, across the spectrum of basic to clinical studies, necessary for optimal translation of research findings into practical applications/interventions; • integrating knowledge across disciplines; • increase knowledge in diverse disciplines to promote early detection/diagnosis and/or interventions; • formulating new theories and/or strategies for the rigorous testing of theories or their predictions; • identifying promising new directions of research and, • providing the scientific impetus for new initiatives; or public policies concerning research on prevention and new models of health services.Alzheimer's & Dementia is indexed/abstracted in Index Medicus/MEDLINE, Scopus, Science Citation Index Expanded (SciSearch®), Current Contents®/Clinical Medicine, Neuroscience Citation Index®, and Journal Citation Reports/Science Edition.

Brain and Development is devoted to publishing Review Articles, Full Length Original Papers, Case Reports and Letters to the Editor in the field of Child Neurology and related sciences. Proceedings of meetings, and professional announcements will be published at the Editor's discretion. Brain, Behavior and Evolution is a journal with a loyal readership, high standards, and a unique profile as the main outlet for the continuing scientific discourse on nervous system evolution. It publishes comparative neurobiological studies that focus on nervous system structure, function, or development in vertebrates and invertebrates. It also features review articles that provide critical overviews of current topics in evolutionary neurobiology. Approaches range from the molecular over the anatomical and physiological to the behavioral. Most papers published in Brain, Behavior and Evolution include an evolutionary angle, at least in the discussion, and focus on neural mechanisms or phenomena. Within this scope, the journal is currently particularly interested in suitable contributions from experimental and behavioral studies. The journal has a loyal following among evolutionary neurobiologists and is of interest to neuroethologists, neuroanatomists, comparative and developmental biologists, and neuroscientists investigating species diversity.

Current Neurovascular Research provides a cross platform for the publication of scientifically rigorous research that addresses disease mechanisms of both neuronal and vascular origins in neuroscience. The journal serves as an international forum publishing novel and original work as well as timely neuroscience research reviews in the disciplines of cell developmental disorders, plasticity, and degeneration that bridges the gap between basic science research and clinical discovery. For over 50 years, Developmental Medicine & Child Neurology (DMCN) has defined the field of paediatric neurology and neurodisability and is one of the world's leading journals in the whole field of paediatrics. DMCN disseminates a range of information worldwide to improve the lives of disabled children and their families. Developmental Neurobiology (previously the Journal of Neurobiology ) publishes original research articles on development, regeneration, repair and plasticity of the nervous system and on the ontogeny of behavior. High quality contributions in these areas are solicited, with an emphasis on experimental as opposed to purely descriptive work. The Journal also will consider manuscripts reporting novel approaches and techniques for the study of the development of the nervous system as well as occasional special issues on topics of significant current interest. We welcome suggestions on possible topics from our readers. Papers that do not conform to the general criteria for publication in Developmental Neurobiology will be returned immediately without detailed review in order to avoid unnecessary delay in submission elsewhere.

Developmental Neurorehabilitation aims to enhance recovery and rehabilitation in children with brain injury and neurological disorders.It focuses on a truly developmental perspective: the longitudinal consequences of neurological insult during childhood and the impact of such injury in later life. It covers childhood neurological disorders and treatment, encompassing factors of lifespan, neurological recovery and intervention at experimental, clinical and theoretical levels.In order to best serve clinicians and researchers, we seek to include an equal representation of basic and clinical research on development, recovery and rehabilitation. With a focus on translational research, we wish to actively pursue the interchange of ideas, and problems connecting basic and clinical scientists.Contributions are welcomed in the following formats: * ORIGINAL RESEARCH - empirical investigations from clinical and animal research * SUBJECT REVIEWS - topical reviews to increase awareness and discussion of future research and practice * PEER COMMENTARY - different perspectives on published reviews * VOICES FROM THE PAST - children, disability and rehabilitation in history * CASE STUDIES - the value of single case methodology in elucidating impairments and treatment efficacy * ETHICAL AND LEGAL PERSPECTIVES - implications of change in the law and of new research.

Developmental Neuroscience is a multidisciplinary journal publishing papers covering all stages of invertebrate, vertebrate and human brain development. Emphasis is placed on publishing fundamental as well as translational studies that contribute to progress in understanding mechanisms of normal development as well as genetic and environmental causes of abnormal brain development. The journal provides valuable information for both physicians and biologists. The journal accepts original research reports, reports on technological advances, and long and short reviews.

Developmental Psychobiology is a peer-reviewed journal that publishes original research papers from the disciplines of psychology, biology, neuroscience, and medicine that contribute to an understanding of behavior development. Research that focuses on development in the embryo/fetus, neonate, juvenile, or adult animal and multidisciplinary research that relates behavioral development to anatomy, physiology, biochemistry, genetics, or evolution is appropriate. The journal represents a broad phylogenetic perspective on behavior development by publishing studies of invertebrates, fish, birds, humans, and other animals. The journal publishes experimental and descriptive studies whether carried out in the laboratory or field. The journal also publishes review articles and theoretical papers that make important conceptual contributions. Special dedicated issues of Developmental Psychobiology , consisting of invited papers on a topic of general interest, may be arranged with the Editor-in-Chief. Developmental Psychobiology also publishes Letters to the Editor, which discuss issues of general interest or material published in the journal. Letters discussing published material may correct errors, provide clarification, or offer a different point of view. Authors should consult the editors on the preparation of these contributions. Overall scholarship including soundness of experimental design, appropriate controls and procedures, and importance and significance are the major criteria for publication. Developmental Psychobiology is the official publication of the International Society for Developmental Psychobiology. Membership in the Society is not a prerequisite for submission or publication.

Experimental Neurology, a Journal of Neuroscience Research, publishes original research in neuroscience with a particular emphasis on novel findings in neural development, regeneration, plasticity and transplantation. The International Journal of Behavioral Development (IJBD) promotes the discovery, dissemination and application of knowledge about developmental processes at all stages of the life span - infancy, childhood, adolescence, adulthood and old age. The Journal is already the leading international outlet devoted to reporting interdisciplinary research on behavioural development, and is now, in response to the rapidly developing fields of behavioural genetics, neuroscience and developmental psychopathology, seeking to expand its scope to these and other related new domains of scholarship.

The journal publishes results of original research on both basic and clinical aspects of the developing nervous system, ranging from simpler invertebrate systems and in vitro neural models to models of regeneration, chronic neurological diseases and aging. Invertebrate Neuroscience publishes original articles, reviews and technical reports describing recent advances in the field of invertebrate neuroscience. The journal reports on research that exploits the simplicity and experimental tractability of the invertebrate preparations to underpin fundamental advances in neuroscience. Articles published in Invertebrate Neurosciences serve to highlight properties of signalling in the invertebrate nervous system that may be exploited in the field of antiparisitics, molluscicides and insecticides. Aspects of particular interest include: functional analysis of the invertebrate nervous system; molecular neuropharmacology and toxicology; neurogenetics and genomics; functional anatomy; neurodevelopment; neuronal networks; and molecular and cellular mechanisms of behaviour and behavioural plasticity.

The Journal of Experimental Psychology: General® publishes articles describing empirical work that bridges the traditional interests of two or more communities of psychology.The work may touch on issues dealt with in JEP: Learning, Memory, and Cognition, JEP: Human Perception and Performance, JEP: Animal Behavior Processes, or JEP: Applied, but may also concern issues in other subdisciplines of psychology, including social processes, developmental processes, psychopathology, neuroscience, or computational modeling.Articles in JEP: General may be longer than the usual journal publication if necessary.Brief reports will also be accepted (up to 3,000 words, excluding title, references, author affiliations, acknowledgments, figures and figure legends, but including the abstract). Brief reports will be rejected without review by editors at a higher rate than longer articles and the Journal will only accept the most innovative and significant empirical and theoretical contributions, with a preference for work that impacts more than one area of psychology.

Molecular Autism is a peer-reviewed, online open access journal that publishes high-quality basic, translational and clinical research into the molecular basis of autism and related neurodevelopmental conditions. Molecular Autism considers studies that relate causal and risk factors with these conditions, including research into genetics, molecular neurobiology, neuropathology, imaging and biomarkers, with a focus on potential applications for intervention.
