In particular, reviews may focus on matters of importance to the communication discipline, including pedagogical and other professional issues within the academy, as well as historical events, scholars, or classical texts of importance to the contemporary study of communication. The Review of Communication includes extended analyses of single books, longer review essays covering several thematically related texts, as well as brief summaries. Reviews of all types of books dealing with human communication, including academic books, textbooks, and appropriate trade books are encouraged.
