JUFO Level 1

Editors' NoteWe are pleased to announce our new title for 2009: Journal of Integrative Environmental Sciences. We hope that by emphasising 'integrative' we will strengthen our now well-established aims and scope, by further highlighting that the journal goes beyond looking at environmental issues from a pure science perspective. Journal of Integrative Environmental Sciences is interdisciplinary, relevant and comprehensive.Journal of Integrative Environmental Sciences (JIES) aims to provide a stimulating, informative and critical forum for intellectual debate on significant environmental issues. It brings together perspectives from a wide range of disciplines and methodologies in both the social and natural sciences in the effort to develop integrative knowledge about the processes responsible for environmental change. The Journal is especially concerned with the relationships between science, society and policy and a key aim is to advance understanding of the theory and practice of sustainable development. The subject matter, authorship and readership are international in scope and cover issues from across a range of scales, from the global to the local. Key themes include: interdisciplinary assessment methodologies; governance and regulation; technology and innovation; science, society and policy; knowledge, perceptions and discourse. The journal publishes work on a wide range of issues, including: energy climate change pollution, waste urban sustainability biodiversity conservation environment and development environmental management systems Journal of Integrative Environmental Sciences is keen to publish original material including theoretical developments, new empirical data, innovative methods and policy analysis. The Journal publishes original research articles, review articles, essays, research notes and book reviews. The journal also publishes occasional Special Issues covering interdisciplinary research and policy perspectives on specific environmental issues. Published papers are accessible to a wide audience consisting of natural and social scientists, professionals and policy makers. All published papers in this journal have undergone rigorous peer review, based on initial editor screening and anonymous refereeing by independent expert referees.---Disclaimer for Scientific, Technical and Social Science PublicationsTaylor & Francis make every effort to ensure the accuracy of all the information (the 8220;Content8221;) contained in its publications. Journal of Integrative Medicine

ISSN: 2095-4964eISSN: 2773-0727
Journal of Integrative Medicine (JIM) is a peer-reviewed, open-access journal. The predecessor of JIM is the Journal of Chinese Integrative Medicine (JCIM, http://www.jcimjournal.comwww.jcimjournal.com). With this new, English-language publication, we are committed to making JIM an international platform for publishing high-quality papers on complementary and alternative medicine (CAM) and an open forum in which the different professions and international scholarly communities can exchange views, share research and their clinical experience, discuss CAM education, and confer about issues and problems in our various disciplines and in CAM as a whole in order to promote integrative medicine.

JIM is indexed/abstracted in: Directory of Open Access Journals (DOAJ), MEDLINE/PubMed, Scopus, Excerpta Medica Database (EMBase), Chemical Abstracts (CA), International Pharmaceutical Abstracts, CSA Natural Sciences, CAB Abstracts, Global Health, Index Copernicus, EBSCO, and Ulrich's Periodicals Directory.

JIM Editorial Office uses ThomsonReuters ScholarOne Manuscripts as submitting and review system (submission link: http://mc03.manuscriptcentral.com/jcim-en).

JIM is published bimonthly. Manuscripts submitted to JIM should be written in English. Article types include but are not limited to randomized controlled and pragmatic trials, translational and patient-centered effectiveness outcome studies, case series and reports, clinical trial protocols, preclinical and basic science studies, systematic reviews and meta-analyses, papers on methodology and CAM history or education, conference proceedings, editorials, commentaries, short communications, book reviews, and letters to the editor.

Our purpose is to publish a prestigious international journal for studies in integrative medicine. To achieve this aim, we seek to publish high-quality papers on any aspects of integrative medicine, such as acupuncture and traditional Chinese medicine, Ayurveda medicine, herbal medicine, homeopathy, nutrition, chiropractic, mind-body medicine, taichi, qigong, meditation, and any other modalities of CAM; our commitment to international scope ensures that research and progress from all regions of the world are widely covered. These ensure that articles published in JIM have the maximum exposure to the international scholarly community.

JIM can help its authors let their papers reach the widest possible range of readers, and let all those who share an interest in their research field be concerned with their study.

Journal of Integrative Neuroscience

ISSN: 0219-6352eISSN: 1757-448X
DOAJ Logo
JUFO Level 1

The aim of the Journal is to advance the development of a hierarchical and functional integrative approach to the neurosciences with an emphasis on: (i) neuroimaging, (ii) comparative experimentation, and (iii) data driven modeling, including the theoretical and philosophical foundations of this approach. The scope of the Journal is broad, encompassing all aspects of brain function, including regulation of homeostatic and maintenance functions, and behaviors in health and disease. The Journal will promote and disseminate studies categorized under the following themes: * Theoretical methods and analytical techniques allowing integration in neuroscience (e.g., infinite dimensional nonlinear dynamical systems, theory of complexity, n-field theory, diffusion theory, category theory, graph theory); * Experimentally and mathematically integrated models of brain activity (e.g., volume transmission and deep brain stimulation, large-scale realistic cable networks of cortical and sub-cortical integration); * Functional integration of physiological control mechanisms with anatomical structure in the nervous system, central and peripheral (e.g., control and regulation in the cardio-vascular and respiratory systems, autonomic control); * Bio-engineering and experimental techniques allowing integration in neuroscience (e.g., Human-machine interface technology, brain-based devices, optical recording, multi-electrode arrays, neuroimaging); * Experimentally-based neuropsychological and neurophilosophical models (e.g., semantic ambiguity, anticipatory behavior, free will, epistemological limitations in understanding consciousness); * Applications of integration to neural pathologies and neural control physiology (e.g., brain diseases, plasticity and rehabilitation, interface between functional genomics and psychiatric illnesses). The following types of experimental and theoretical papers are suitable for the Journal: * Rapid communications and forum style commentary articles (approx. 16 pages; 20 citations) * Original articles containing research reports (approx. 40 pages; 60 citations) * Topical reviews containing critical survey of the literature (approx. 40 pages; 120 citations) * Book reviews.

Journal of Integrative Plant Biology

ISSN: 1672-9072eISSN: 1744-7909
JUFO Level 1

The aim of the journal is to report novel scientific discoveries related to all biological processes in plants using integrative genetic, chemical, cell and molecular biological approaches to understand plants at micro- and macro-scale. Articles submitted to JIPB should fit in one of the following six themes: 1) Cell & Developmental Biology; 2) Metabolic Biology & Biochemistry; 3) Signal Transduction & Stress Response; 4) Systems Biology & Molecular Physiology; 5) Sexual Reproduction; and 6) Molecular Evolution & Ecology. Our primary focus is on providing the answers to significant plant biological questions and on the technologies essential for such studies. Preliminary observations, purely descriptive studies, tissue culture and transformation, and reporting on single plant-derived chemicals fall beyond the scope of the journal.
