Systems and Synthetic Biology

ISSN: 1872-5325eISSN: 1872-5333

Systems and Synthetic Biology is a new biomedical journal publishing original papers and articles on all aspects of Systems and Synthetic Biology.Systems Biology is an integrated approach to study collective behaviour of biological interactions. The grand challenge in Systems Biology is to connect molecular topography with physiological responses. Systems Biology field will realize its fullest potential once individual contributions are tied to variations in the system level behavior. The emerging field of synthetic biology combines knowledge from various disciplines including molecular biology, engineering, mathematics, and physics to design and implement new cellular behaviors. The goal of synthetic biology is both to improve our quantitative understanding of natural phenomenon as well as to foster an engineering discipline for obtaining new complex cell behaviors in a predictable and reliable fashion. Systems and Synthetic Biology will publish research articles that either advance this field as an engineering discipline or use synthetic biology to improve our scientific knowledge of existing phenomena. Publication criteriaSystems Biology* Experimental and computational studies that associate collective behavior of molecules with higher order behavior of metabolic, signaling systems and gene regulatory networks.* Experimental and computational studies that associate pathway and network contacts with behavior of organelles, cells, tissues, physiological systems and organisms.* Pathway ontology, systems and synthetic biology tools, molecular interaction databases and model databases* New experimental and mathematical methods important to systems biology.note: computational models that lead to the experimentally validated discovery of novel biological phenomenon will receive highest priority and will be treated as accelerated publicationsSynthetic Biol, ogy* Design and fabrication of unnatural biological components and systems.* Novel design of natural and synthetic parts for a designed function.* Experimental and Computational tools and techniques used in synthetic biology.Exclusion CriteriaExperimental and computational studies that describe:Sequence analysis and structure prediction.Data mining, alignment and molecular ontology.Protein structural analysis.Genome analysis and tools.Molecular and genome annotation.Sequence databases.Population dynamics and mathematical biology.Natural properties of genes and proteins.Atomic interactions in proteins & protein folding.

JUFO Level 1

Tetrahedron: Asymmetry presents experimental or theoretical research results of outstanding significance and timeliness on asymmetry in organic, inorganic, organometallic and physical chemistry, as well as its application to related disciplines, especially bio-organic chemistry. The journal publishes critical reviews, original research articles and preliminary communications dealing with all aspects of the chemical, physical and theoretical properties of non-racemic organic and inorganic materials and processes. Topics relevant to the journal include: the physico-chemical and biological properties of enantiomers; strategies and methodologies of asymmetric synthesis; resolution; chirality recognition and enhancement; analytical techniques for assessing enantiomeric purity and the unambiguous determination of absolute configuration; and molecular graphics and modelling methods for interpreting and predicting asymmetric phenomena. Papers describing the synthesis or properties of non-racemic molecules will be required to include a separate statement in the form of a Stereochemistry Abstract, for publication in the same issue, of the criteria used for the assignment of configuration and enantiomeric purity.Benefits to authorsWe also provide many author benefits, such as free PDFs, a liberal copyright policy, special discounts on Elsevier publications and much more. Textile Research Journal

ISSN: 0040-5175eISSN: 1746-7748
JUFO Level 1

The Textile Research Journal is the leading peer reviewed Journal for textile research. It is devoted to the dissemination of fundamental, theoretical and applied scientific knowledge in materials, chemistry, manufacture and system sciences related to fibers, fibrous assemblies and textiles. The Journal serves authors and subscribers worldwide, and it is selective in accepting contributions on the basis of merit, novelty and originality.Fibers, fibrous assemblies, textiles, and other fiber-based materials such as nonwovens are of immense importance in today's global economy. In addition to their use in well-established consumer and industrial markets, they have widespread use in novel, non-traditional applications, such as in technical textiles, reinforced composites, geotextiles, personal care products, filtration, transportation, health care and biomaterials, smart, intelligent, electronic, and nano applications.Since its founding in 1930, The Textile Research Journal has served as the premier forum for the presentation of scientific results that introduce new concepts, innovative technologies, and improved understanding of textile materials, processes, chemistry and systems. In recently expanded monthly issues, TRJ has presented peer-reviewed research and review papers from leading research organizations. These papers deal with research in the design, development and measurement of natural and synthetic polymeric materials, fibers, engineered fabrics and textiles, including polymer mixtures and additives; the fabrication, developments in production processes, machinery, manufacture and testing of fibrous structures and fabricated products; chemical applications to, and modifications of, fibers and fiber substrates, including dyeing (coloring), finishing and waste reduction; and the management of product design, sourcing, economics, production, distribution and consumption systems.Manuscripts are welcomed from industrial laboratories, government research centers, universities, private research organizations, and independent scientists.

JUFO Level 1

Aims and Scope Download Flyer The Chemical Record (TCR) is a “highlights” journal publishing timely and critical overviews of new developments at the cutting edge of chemistry of interest to a wide audience of chemists (2009 journal impact factor: 3.862). The scope of published reviews includes all areas related to physical chemistry. analytical chemistry. inorganic chemistry. organic chemistry. polymer chemistry. materials chemistry. bioorganic chemistry. biochemistry. biotechnology and medicinal chemistry as well as interdisciplinary fields. TCR provides carefully selected highlight papers by leading researchers that introduce the author’s own experimental and theoretical results in a framework designed to establish perspectives with earlier and contemporary work and provide a critical review of the present state of the subject. The articles are intended to present concise evaluations of current trends in chemistry research to help chemists gain useful insights into fields outside their specialization and provide experts with summaries of recent key developments. Authors are encouraged to give perspectives on their own personal thinking and the historical development that led to significant breakthroughs in research.New developments from industrial laboratories will be featured in a separate section covering corporate research. All manuscripts are peer-reviewed. Manuscripts are generally solicited by the editors. however. voluntary contributions are also welcome. In the latter case potential authors are asked to contact the Editorial Office with an outline before beginning to write in order to avoid duplication of effort and to ensure suitability of the topic and the level of coverage.

Theoretical Foundations of Chemical Engineering

ISSN: 0040-5795eISSN: 1608-3431
JUFO Level 1

SCOPEThe journal Theoretical Foundations of Chemical Engineering (Teoreticheskie osnovy khimicheskoi tekhnologii) publishes original articles on transport phenomena, chemical hydrodynamics, nonlinear processes in chemistry and chemical engineering, surface phenomena (e.g., the Marangoni effect), self-organization in nonequilibrium systems, synergetics, macrokinetics of chemical reactions, and the theory and methods for calculating chemical reactors. Processes where the separation of mixtures are encountered play the key role in processing industries. Still of current importance are the theory and practice of diffusion processes (distillation, gas absorption, adsorption, drying, liquid extraction, dissolution, and crystallization), among which the maximum attention is drawn to integrated reaction-mass-transfer processes and all types of membrane processes. An important field is the intensification of heat and mass transfer processes under the action of various factors such as electric and magnetic fields, ultr
