International Journal of Computer Integrated Manufacturing (IJCIM) is a journal of new knowledge, reporting research and applications underlining the opportunities and limitations of CIM in today's lifecycle-oriented, knowledge-based era of manufacturing. IJCIM has been enthusiastically received by the international manufacturing community and has become a key forum for academics and industrial researchers to exchange information and ideas. In response to this interest, IJCIM is published eight times a year, which enables the editors to target special issues on topics as diverse as service-oriented architectures, next generation manufacturing systems, wireless manufacturing and digital enterprise technologies, as well as focused issues covering regional research (such as in the EU Framework Programme) and international research programmes and initiatives.
Section A: Computer Systems: TheoryThis section contains work concerning research and development in computer systems and the theory of computing in general. Papers relating directly or indirectly to all aspects of these fields are welcome. Of great interest is work in computer systems architectures and organization, computer software and hardware, analysis of algorithms, artificial intelligence, automata, bio-informatics, brain-computer interfaces, calculi, computational complexity, computational aspects of combinatorics and graph theory, computational geometry, computer graphics, computer security, concurrency and parallelism, cryptography, data structures, formal languages, haptics, knowledge discovery, computational logic, networks, novel models of computation such as DNA and quantum computing, randomization, semantics, symbol manipulation and the Internet. The Journal is intended to provide a forum for the expression of new ideas, as well as a place for exposition of these areas of knowledge.Section B: Computational Methods: ApplicationThis section publishes original research work concerning computational and mathematical techniques in the fields of numerical analysis and scientific computing with applications to science and engineering. The section serves the community of researchers in numerical analysis and computational sciences from both academia and industry. Papers that discuss novel theory, analysis and strategies of cutting-edge new numerical techniques for various applied mathematical problems are welcome. Papers that provide significantly improved analysis of existing numerical algorithms are also welcome. The International Journal of Control, Automation, and Systems (IJCAS) is a joint publication of Institute of Control, Robotics and Systems (ICROS) and The Korean Institute of Electrical Engineers (KIEE), which is published as bimonthly periodical as of 2003. The two institutes have been discussing the launch of a joint publication, since 2001; by discontinuing the former English journals of their respective institutes, they aim to establish a high-quality archival journal. In addition to introducing a new journal name, the IJCAS, the joint steering committee has set a new publication direction. To broaden the scope of the journal, the committee has invited distinguished scholars from abroad as well as from Korea to serve on the editorial board. The paradigm for the next generation of information systems (ISs) will involve large numbers of ISs distributed over large, complex computer/communication networks. Such ISs will manage or have access to large amounts of information and computing services and will interoperate as required. These support individual or collaborative human work. Communication among component systems will be done using protocols that range from conventional ones to those based on distributed AI. The International Journal of Critical Infrastructure Protection (IJCIP) was launched in 2008, with the primary aim of publishing scholarly papers of the highest quality in all areas of critical infrastructure protection.
