This Journal is devoted to the advancement of the applied science and technology of airborne flight through the dissemination of original archival papers describing significant advances in aircraft, the operation of aircraft, and applications of aircraft technology to other fields. The Journal publishes qualified papers on aircraft systems, air transportation, air traffic management, and multidisciplinary design optimization of aircraft, flight mechanics, flight and ground testing, applied computational fluid dynamics, flight safety, weather and noise hazards, human factors, airport design, airline operations, application of computers to aircraft including artificial intelligence/expert systems, production methods, engineering economic analyses, affordability, reliability, maintainability, and logistics support, integration of propulsion and control systems into aircraft design and operations, aircraft aerodynamics (including unsteady aerodynamics), structural design/dynamics , aeroelasticity, and aeroacoustics. It publishes papers on general aviation, military and civilian aircraft, UAV, STOL and V/STOL, subsonic, supersonic, transonic, and hypersonic aircraft. Papers are sought which comprehensively survey results of recent technical work with emphasis on aircraft technology application.

This Journal is devoted to the advancement of the science and technology of guidance, control, and dynamics through the dissemination of original archival papers disclosing significant technical knowledge, exploratory developments, design criteria, and applications in aeronautics, astronautics, celestial mechanics, and related fields. The Journal publishes qualified papers on dynamics, stability, guidance, control, navigation, optimization, electronics, avionics, and information processing related to aeronautical, astronautical, and marine systems. Papers are sought which demonstrate the application of recent research to practical engineering problems. Papers that describe aspects of the dynamics and control of significant recent developments, such as a new or different aircraft or spacecraft, also are desired.

The Journal of Intelligent Transportation Systems is devoted to scholarly research on the development, planning, management, operation and evaluation of intelligent transportation systems. Intelligent transportation systems are innovative solutions that address contemporary transportation problems. They are characterized by information, dynamic feedback and automation that allow people and goods to move efficiently. They encompass the full scope of information technologies used in transportation, including control, computation and communication, as well as the algorithms, databases, models and human interfaces. The emergence of these technologies as a new pathway for transportation is relatively new. The Journal of Intelligent Transportation Systems is especially interested in research that leads to improved planning and operation of the transportation system through the application of new technologies. The journal is particularly interested in research that adds to the scientific understanding of the impacts that intelligent transportation systems can have on accessibility, congestion, pollution, safety, security, noise, and energy and resource consumption. The journal is inter-disciplinary, and accepts work from fields of engineering, economics, planning, policy, business and management, as well as any other disciplines that contribute to the scientific understanding of intelligent transportation systems. The journal is also multi-modal, and accepts work on intelligent transportation for all forms of ground, air and water transportation. Example topics include the role of information systems in transportation, traffic flow and control, vehicle control, routing and scheduling, traveler response to dynamic information, planning for ITS innovations, evaluations of ITS field operational tests, ITS deployment experiences, automated highway systems, vehicle control systems, diffusion of ITS, and tools/software for analysis of ITS. All articles appearing in the Journal of Intelligent Transportation Systems undergo a rigorous peer review, based on initial editor screening and at least two anonymous peer reviewers providing comments. This Journal is devoted to the advancement of the science and technology of aerospace propulsion and power through the dissemination of original archival papers contributing to advancements in airbreathing, electric, and advanced propulsion; solid and liquid rockets; fuels and propellants; power generation and conversion for aerospace vehicles; and the application of aerospace science and technology to terrestrial energy devices and systems. It is intended to provide readers of the Journal, with primary interests in propulsion and power, access to papers spanning the range from research through development to applications. Papers in these disciplines and the sciences of combustion, fluid mechanics, and solid mechanics as directly related to propulsion and power are solicited.

Machine Learning: Engineering is a multidisciplinary open access journal dedicated to the application of machine learning (ML), artificial intelligence (AI) and data-driven computational methods across all areas of engineering. The journal also publishes research that presents methodological, theoretical, or conceptual advances in machine learning and AI with applications to engineering.

Ongoing developments in mechanical, aeronautical and civil engineering and major changes brought about by advances in instrumentation and associated computing power necessitate the application and integration of techniques involving systems theory, signal processing, control theory and statistics.
