The Bulletin of Mathematical Biology is devoted to research at the junction of computational, theoretical and experimental biology. Articles offer a combination of theory and experiment, documenting theoretical advances with clear exposition of how they further biological understanding. Its aim is to be of major interest to theorists and experimental biologists alike.The Bulletin of mathematical biology also invites submissions of review articles which offer an in-depth treatment of an emerging research area, or a significant recent development, in the general area of computational, theoretical and mathematical biology. Published since 1954, this monthly journal contains new research in the field of microbiology, including applied microbiology and biotechnology; microbial structure and function; fungi and other eucaryotic protists; infection and immunity; microbial ecology; physiology, metabolism and enzymology; and virology, genetics, and molecular biology. It also publishes review articles and notes on an occasional basis, contributed by recognized scientists worldwide.

Since its inception in 1976, Cancer Immunology, Immunotherapy (CII) has reported significant advances in the field of tumor immunology.  The journal serves as a forum for new concepts and advances in basic, translational, and clinical cancer immunology and immunotherapy. Cellular Microbiology aims to publish significant contributions on the intersection of microbial and host-cell biology that strongly advance understanding of unique biological processes and mechanisms. The scope includes the host cell responses and interactions elicited by prokaryotic, viral, fungal and parasitological microorganisms that illuminate exploitation of host cell structures, function and signalling pathways, and may include modulation or alteration of immune responses. Mechanistic insight obtained through robust biochemical, genetic, cellular, and bioimaging technologies are expected to support observational data. In addition to mammalian and plant systems, papers addressing other hosts such as invertebrate systems are encouraged. Because viruses are inherently dependent upon the host cell, virology-based submissions to Cellular Microbiology should advance knowledge of the interaction of viruses and host cells.

Clinical Infectious Diseases, one of the most heavily cited journals in the fields of infectious diseases and microbiology, publishes articles on diverse topics in infectious diseases, with a focus on clinical practice. Every issue includes special sections focusing on key topics such as HIV/AIDS, antimicrobial resistance, aging and infectious diseases, and biological weapons. Many articles are published with commentaries by prominent researchers, and current trends and best practices are regularly covered in review articles and practice guidelines. CID also publishes numerous supplements devoted to single topics in the field.

The development of clinical allergy as a discipline of scientific medicine has, until recently, lagged behind that of other subspecialties in internal medicine and pediatrics. The discovery of immunoglobulin E, the development of standardized protocols for allergy skin testing and challenge procedures, and concurrent advances in cell biology have all led to a major thrust by new data in changing the approach to the clinical management of allergic disease. The object of this journal is to publish scholarly review papers, with each issue devoted to a single theme, in an attempt to provide comprehensive treatment of a subject of critical importance to allergists. The journal publishes both experimental papers and comprehensive treatises placing new data in perspective. The ultimate objective is to help improve the care and management of patients with allergic disease.

Clinical and Molecular Allergy publishes research on all clinical and molecular aspects of allergic (Type 1 hypersensitivity) and primary immunodeficiency disorders (diseases that alter host defense but are not related to Human Immunodeficiency Virus infection). Studies of allergic or hypersensitive aspects of HIV infection/AIDS or drug desensitization protocols in AIDS, however, fall into the journal’s scope.
