BMC Medical Genomics is an open access journal publishing original peer-reviewed research articles in all aspects of functional genomics, genome structure, genome-scale population genetics, epigenomics, proteomics, systems analysis, and pharmacogenomics in relation to human health and disease.

Purpose and scope:The mission of the American Society of Animal Science (ASAS) is to foster communication and collaboration among individuals and organizations associated with animal science research, education, industry, or administration. ±To discover, disseminate and apply knowledge for sustainable use of animals for food and other human needs.± The Journal of Animal Science, which is published monthly by ASAS, accepts manuscripts presenting information for publication with this mission in mind. Articles published in JAS encompass a broad range of research topics in animal production and fundamental aspects of genetics, nutrition, physiology, and preparation and utilization of animal products. Articles typically report research with beef cattle, companion animals, goats, horses, pigs, and sheep; however, studies involving other farm animals, aquatic and wildlife species, and laboratory animal species that address fundamental questions related to livestock and companion animal biology will be considered for publication. Manuscripts that report research on production issues in animals other than those constituting the main focus of the journal should be submitted to other journals. .

Founded in 1960 at the Institute of Plant Genetics of the Polish Academy of Sciences, Poznan, under the title Genetica Polonica, Polish Journal of Genetics and Breeding. In 1995, it was renamed Journal of Applied Genetics (JAG). Since 2011, the Journal of Applied Genetics has been published by Springer. It publishes peer-reviewed original papers, short communications (including case reports) and review articles focused on the research of applicative aspects of plant, human, animal and microbial genetics and genomics.

The Journal of Assisted Reproduction and Genetics provides a journal format for the publication of novel cellular, molecular, genetic, and epigenetic findings that advance our understanding of the biology of human gametes and preimplantation embryos. The Journal of Experimental Zoology Part A: Ecological Genetics and Physiology publishes articles at the three-way interface between Physiology, Ecology and Evolutionary Genetics. Only color illustrations that highlight the text and convey essential scientific information will be considered for reproduction free of charge, subject to the recommendations of the reviewers and Associate Editors.

The Journal of Forensic Sciences is the official publication of the American Academy of Forensic Sciences (AAFS). It is devoted to the publication of original investigations, observations, scholarly inquiries, and reviews in the various branches of the forensic sciences. These include Pathology and Biology, Toxicology, Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences, General, Odontology, Physical Anthropology, Jurisprudence, Criminalistics, Questioned Documents, Engineering Sciences, and Digital & Media Sciences. JGEB accepts research papers, short communications, reviews and mini-reviews.

This is the oldest English language journal in genetics. Founded by W. Bateson and R. C. Punnett in 1910, the Journal of Genetics was later edited by J. B. S. Haldane; later, Haldane and his wife, Helen Spurway brought the journal with them to India. After his death in 1964, Mrs. Haldane continued publication of the journal, with Madhav Gadgil and H. Sharat Chandra (Indian Institute of Science, Bangalore) and Suresh Jayakar (Laboratorio de Genetica Biochimica ed Evoluzionistica, Pavia) as editors, until her own death in 1977. In 1985, with the permission of Haldane’s heirs, the Indian Academy of Sciences resumed publication of the journal. The journal retains its traditional interest in evolutionary research that is of relevance to geneticists, even if not explicitly genetic in nature.

The Journal of Genetics and Genomics (JGG, formerly known as Acta Genetica Sinica ) is an international journal publishing peer-reviewed articles of novel and significant discoveries in the fields of genetics and genomics. Topics of particular interest include but are not limited to molecular genetics, developmental genetics, cytogenetics, epigenetics, medical genetics, population and evolutionary genetics, genomics and functional genomics as well as bioinformatics and computational biology.The main article types include original research, review, method article, letter to the editor, resource, highlight, and meeting report. Currently, JGG is indexed by Science Citation Index Expanded (SCI-E), Medline, Scopus, Biosis Previews and Chemical Abstracts.
