Abdominal Imaging addresses clinical radiology of abdominal disorders, including the alimentary tract and the genitourinary system, providing a unique international source of information to physicians interested in these fields. The journal publishes original papers, case reports, technical and instrumental notes, and invited review articles. A separate section contains abstracts of selected papers from the current literature. Reviews of books or monographs and announcements about national or international associations and conferences related to abdominal radiology are published.   The coverage emphasizes diagnostic radiology, including ultrasound, computed tomography, MR imaging, nuclear medicine, and interventional procedures; submission of related pathologic, surgical and clinical material is encouraged. Emphasis and preference are given to material which can be applied directly to the diagnosis and management of patients.   

Under the editorial leadership of Professor Arnulf Skjennald and a distinguished international editorial board, Acta Radiologica publishes original research articles on diagnostic and interventional radiology, clinical radiology, experimental investigations in animals, and all other research related to imaging procedures but also invited review articles, short communications and technical and instrumental notes.

The International Commission on Radiological Protection was founded in 1928 to advance for the public benefit the science of radiological protection. The ICRP provides recommendations and guidance on protection against the risks associated with ionising radiation, from artificial sources as widely used in medicine, general industry and nuclear enterprises, and from naturally occurring sources. These reports and recommendations are published six times each year on behalf of the ICRP as the journal Annals of the ICRP. Each issue provides in-depth coverage of a specific subject area.Subscribers to the journal receive each new report as soon as it appears so that they are kept up to date on the latest developments in this important field. While many subscribers prefer to acquire a complete set of ICRP reports and recommendations, single issues of the journal are also available separately for those individuals and organisations needing a single report covering their field of interest. Brain Topography publishes clinical and basic research on cognitive neuroscience and functional neurophysiology using the full range of imaging techniques including EEG, MEG, fMRI, TMS, diffusion imaging, spectroscopy, intracranial recordings, lesion studies, and related methods. Submissions combining multiple techniques are particularly encouraged, as well as reports of new and innovative methodologies. Brain Topography is also an appropriate venue for case/clinical studies from one or a cohort of patients/subjects that provide insights into the neural basis of a psychiatric or neurological impairment and/or the efficacy of a novel therapy. Such studies should be of sufficiently broad interest to both clinical and basic researchers. Examinations of the function of a specific brain region or regions in patients or animal models would also be appropriate, provided that they demonstrate clear relevance and applicability to humans. The purpose of the journal Computerized Medical Imaging and Graphics is to act as a source for the exchange of information concerning the medical use of new developments in imaging diagnosis, intervention, and follow up. Included in the journal will be articles on new medical scanning techniques, image-guided therapy, computer-aided diagnosis, robotic surgery and imaging, augmented-reality medical visualization, imaging genomics, reports of new advances in imaging modalities, and all other information related to the application of computerized radiology, oncology, and surgery. Magnetic Resonance Engineering (MRE) is an international journal devoted to the publication of original investigations concerned with the hardware and software of the engineering and physics aspects of magnetic resonance instrumentation. Articles concerned with both clinical and analytical systems are within the scope of the journal. The target audience is those professionally concerned with signal transduction in magnetic resonance. This includes researchers from the academic, industrial, governmental and medical communities, who are involved in building new equipment or in modifying existing devices. Although the majority of the articles are likely to be related to medical applications, submission of articles containing non-medical or analytical applications is encouraged. When appropriate, a reasonable attempt should be made to make the articles comprehensible to engineers in other fields; for example, acoustic engineers and those engaged in all forms of communications.

IEEE Transactions on Medical Imaging (T-MI) encourages the submission of manuscripts on imaging of body structure, morphology and function, including cell and molecular imaging and all forms of microscopy. The journal publishes original contributions on medical imaging achieved by modalities including ultrasound, X-rays, magnetic resonance, radionuclides, microwaves, and optical methods. Contributions describing novel acquisition techniques, medical image processing and analysis, visualization and performance, pattern recognition, machine learning, and related methods are encouraged. Studies involving highly technical perspectives are most welcome.

The focus of the journal is on unifying the sciences of medicine, biology, and imaging. It emphasizes the common ground where instrumentation, hardware, software, mathematics, physics, biology, and medicine interact through new analysis methods. Strong application papers that describe novel methods are particularly encouraged. Papers describing important applications based on medically adopted and/or established methods without significant innovation in methodology will be directed to other journals.

Imagen Diagnóstica (Diagnostic Imaging) is the official Journal of the Catalan Association of Diagnostic Imaging Technicians (Asociación Catalana de Técnicos en Imagen para el Diagnóstico), founded to give a voice to all Spanish speaking Diagnostic Imaging Technicians. Any scientific contribution associated with diagnostic imaging in any of its variants, image-guided medical treatment, or technology applied to imaging is, in principle, accepted for publication in Imagen Diagnóstica. Articles are evaluated by anonymous peer review.

The International Journal of Radiation Biology publishes original papers, reviews, current topic articles, technical notes/reports, and meeting reports on the effects of ionizing, UV and visible radiation, accelerated particles, microwaves, ultrasound, heat and related modalities. The focus is on the biological effects of such radiations: from radiation chemistry to the spectrum of responses of living organisms and underlying mechanisms, including genetic abnormalities, repair phenomena, cell death, dose modifying agents and tissue responses. Application of basic studies to medical uses of radiation extends the coverage to practical problems such as physical and chemical adjuvants which improve the effectiveness of radiation in cancer therapy. Assessment of the hazards of low doses of radiation is also considered.
