Peer Review Policy: All papers published in this journal have undergone rigorous editorial screening and anonymous peer review.
Publication office: Taylor & Francis, Inc., 530 Walnut Street, Suite 850, Philadelphia, PA 19106 .
The purpose of the journal is to provide a forum for the publication of high quality research and tutorial papers in computational mathematics. In addition to the traditional issues and problems in numerical analysis, the journal also publishes papers describing relevant applications in such fields as physics, fluid dynamics, engineering and other branches of applied science with a computational mathematics component. The journal strives to be flexible in the type of papers it publishes and their format. Equally desirable are:(i) Full papers, which should be complete and relatively self-contained original contributions with an introduction that can be understood by the broad computational mathematics community. Both rigorous and heuristic styles are acceptable. Of particular interest are papers about new areas of research, in which other than strictly mathematical arguments may be important in establishing a basis for further developments.(ii) Tutorial review papers, covering some of the important issues in Numerical Mathematics, Scientific Computing and their Applications. The journal will occasionally publish contributions which are larger than the usual format for regular papers.(iii) Short notes, which present specific new results and techniques in a brief communication. The journal strives to provide authors with a refereed outlet for their work which is subject to the least possible publication delay.
Applied Nursing Research presents original, peer-reviewed research findings clearly and directly for clinical applications in all nursing specialties. Regular features include "Ask the Experts," research briefs, clinical methods, book reviews, news and announcements, and an editorial section. Applied Nursing Research covers such areas as pain management, patient education, discharge planning, nursing diagnosis, job stress in nursing, nursing influence on length of hospital stay, and nurse/physician collaboration. The Journal is listed in PubMed/MEDLINE, CINAHL and the Journal Citation Reports published by Thomson Reuters.Benefits to authorsWe also provide many author benefits, such as free PDFs, a liberal copyright policy, special discounts on Elsevier publications and much more. The aim of Applied Ocean Research is to encourage the submission of papers that advance the state of knowledge in a range of topics relevant to ocean engineering. These topics include:* Wave mechanics* Fluid-structure interaction* Structural dynamics* Hydrodynamics* Floating and moored system dynamics* Structural mechanics* Sea bed geophysics, soil mechanics and sedimentology* Cable and riser mechanics and vortex-induced vibration* Stochastic processes* Safety and risk analysis* Structural integrity and fatigue* Safety and reliability* Design of offshore structures* Submarine pipeline design* Ocean towing and installation* Hydroelasticity* Subsea engineering* Control and application of remotely-operated vehicles and subsea intervention* Ocean energy systemsIt is important that all papers, particularly the very theoretical ones, should stress the practical importance and applicability of their contents. Purely theoretical papers with no application are discouraged.Related Conferences:Related conferences are listed under 'Related publications'.
Applied Operations and Analytics (AOA) is a new fully Open Access, cross-disciplinary forum publishing peer-reviewed research that uses both qualitative and quantitative methods to analyse and synthesize data to gain insights that allow for better decision making, comprehension of complex systems, and solutions to challenging problems.
Our scope encompasses a wide range of research types, including multidisciplinary and interdisciplinary investigations, replication studies, findings of negative or null results, comprehensive literature reviews, and case studies.
In the spirit of transparency and scientific progress, authors are encouraged to deposit and share code and/or data, and our reviewers and editors will also be encouraged to comment on the clarity of the methodology and whether authors have made efforts to make their code and/or data reusable.
The journal invites authors to consider real-world applicability and generic (i.e. replicable) method or methodology development in their writing and how such methodological advances can be translated into other settings/domains and disciplines.
Submissions are welcome from academia, industry, and collaborations between the two.
All application areas will be considered.
Submissions should be well-written and clear in their contribution.
Applied Optics is OSA's most widely read journal, a must for everyone in the optics field. Published three times each month, Applied Optics reports significant optics applications from optical testing and instrumentation to medical optics...from holography to optical neural networks...from lidar and remote sensing to laser materials processing. Each issue contains content from three divisions of editorial scope: Optical Technology; Information Processing; and Lasers, Photonics, and Environmental Optics. Authors in these fields are encouraged to submit their manuscripts to Applied Optics for quality, peer-reviewed, widely distributed publication.
Applied Organometallic Chemistry publishes Full Papers, Reviews, Mini Reviews and Communications of scientific research in all areas of organometallic and metal-organic chemistry involving main group metals, transition metals, lanthanides and actinides. All contributions should contain an explicit application of novel compounds, for instance in materials science, nano science, catalysis, chemical vapour deposition, metal-mediated organic synthesis, polymers, bio-organometallics, metallo-therapy, metallo-diagnostics and medicine. Reviews of books covering aspects of the fields of focus are also published. All new compounds should be satisfactorily identified and proof of their structure given according to generally accepted standards. Structural reports, such as papers exclusively dealing with synthesis and characterization, analytical techniques, or X-ray diffraction studies of metal-organic or organometallic compounds will not be considered. The editors reserve the right to refuse without peer review any manuscript that does not comply with the aims and scope of the journal.
Applied Physics A publishes experimental and theoretical investigations in applied physics as regular articles, rapid communications, and invited papers. The distinguished 30-member Board of Editors reflects the interdisciplinary approach of the journal and ensures the highest quality of peer review.
Julius Springer Prize for Applied PhysicsPublishing essential research results in two of the most important areas of applied physics, both Applied Physics sections figure among the top most cited journals in this field. In addition to regular papers Applied Physics B: Lasers and Optics features invited reviews. Fields of topical interest are covered by feature issues. The journal also includes a rapid communication section for the speedy publication of important and particularly interesting results. Applied Physics B covers the broad field of: laser physics linear and nonlinear optics ultrafast phenomena photonic devices optical and laser materials quantum optics laser spectroscopy of atoms, molecules and clusters use of laser radiation in biophotonics, chemistry and biochemistry
Applied Physics Express (APEX) is a letter journal devoted solely to rapid dissemination of up-to-date and concise reports on new findings in applied physics. APEX is the successor to the Japanese Journal of Applied Physics (JJAP) letter section, JJAP Part 2, and not only has inherited the world-wide recognition of JJAP Part 2 (Letters and Express Letters), but also further promotes its strength in high scientific quality and prompt publication. In the journal policy, special emphasis is placed on high scientific and/or technological impact of its published papers.
Applied Physics Letters, published by the American Institute of Physics, features concise, up-to-date reports on significant new findings in applied physics. Emphasizing rapid dissemination of key data and new physical insights, Applied Physics Letters offers prompt publication of new experimental and theoretical papers bearing on applications of physics phenomena to all branches of science, engineering, and modern technology. Content is published online daily, collected into weekly online and printed issues (52 issues per year).
