Experimental Pathology encompasses the use of multidisciplinary scientific techniques to investigate the pathogenesis and progression of pathologic processes. The International Journal of Experimental Pathology - IJEP - publishes papers which afford new and imaginative insights into the basic mechanisms underlying human disease. IJEP publishes papers on in vitro work, animal models, and clinical research. The key objective is to report on work that addresses the common theme of mechanism at a cellular and molecular level. IJEP publishes both original experimental investigations and review articles. Recent themes for review series have covered topics as diverse as 'Viruses and Cancer', 'Granulomatous Diseases', 'Stem cells' and 'Cardiovascular Pathology'. Current status reviews have considered 'Joint cavity formation', Adhesion molecules in liver and gut' and 'New informative animal models'. The International Journal of Immunogenetics (formerly European Journal of Immunogenetics) publishes original contributions on the genetic control of components of the immune system and their interactions in both humans and experimental animals. The term 'genetic' is taken in its broadest sense to include studies at the evolutionary, molecular, chromosomal functional and population levels in both health and disease. Examples are:

International Journal of Molecular Sciences (ISSN 1422-0067) provides an advanced forum for chemistry, molecular physics (chemical physics and physical chemistry) and molecular biology. It publishes reviews, regular research papers and short notes.Our aim is to encourage scientists to publish their theoretical and experimental results in as much detail as possible. There is no restriction on the length of the papers. If there are computational results, the full experimental details must be provided so that the results can be reproduced.

Journal of Anatomy publishes original papers, invited review articles and book reviews. Its main focus is on contributions to understanding development, evolution and function through a broad range of anatomical approaches. Articles covering bioinformatics and other topics that clarify or provide tools for functional anatomical understanding will also be sympathetically considered. Priority will be given to experimental studies, to contributions based on molecular and cell biology, and on the application of modern functional imaging techniques. Studies that are essentially descriptive anatomy will only be published if the Editors consider that they are of functional significance. Journal of Anatomy also publishes Brief Communications: these are brief papers (up to 3 journal pages) that present new ideas or data of particular originality and timeliness. The Journal of Biochemical and Molecular Toxicology is an international journal that contains original research papers, rapid communications, mini-reviews, and book reviews, all focusing on the molecular mechanisms of action and detoxication of exogenous and endogenous chemicals and toxic agents. The scope includes effects on the organism at all stages of development, on organ systems, tissues, and cells as well as on enzymes, receptors, hormones, and genes. The biochemical and molecular aspects of uptake, transport, storage, excretion, lactivation and detoxication of drugs, agricultural, industrial and environmental chemicals, natural products and food additives are all subjects suitable for publication. Of particular interest are aspects of molecular biology related to biochemical toxicology. These include studies of the expression of genes related to detoxication and activation enzymes, toxicants with modes of action involving effects on nucleic acids, gene expression and protein synthesis, and the toxicity of products derived from biotechnology. Given the rapid development of the field of toxicology during the last few decades and the fundamental importance of biochemical mechanisms in all aspects of toxicology the Journal of Biochemical and Molecular Toxicology is of interest, not only to active investigators in the field but to many other scientists. These include other biochemists, molecular biologists, and toxicologists involved in industrial and contract research and testing laboratories, and those involved in legal and regulatory work related to toxic chemicals. The Journal of Biochemical and Molecular Toxicology is published bimonthly with one volume of 6 issues per calendar year.

The Journal of Bioinformatics and Computational Biology aims to publish high quality, original research articles, expository tutorial papers and review papers as well as short, critical comments on technical issues associated with the analysis of cellular information.The research papers will be technical presentations of new assertions, discoveries and tools, intended for a narrower specialist community. The tutorials, reviews and critical commentary will be targeted at a broader readership of biologists who are interested in using computers but are not knowledgeable about scientific computing, and equally, computer scientists who have an interest in biology but are not familiar with current thrusts nor the language of biology. Such carefully chosen tutorials and articles should greatly accelerate the rate of entry of these new creative scientists into the field.

The Journal of Cell Communication and Signaling (JCCS), the official publication of the International CCN Society (ICCNS), aims to serve as a forum for translational research.
