Invertebrate Reproduction & Development (IRD) presents original research articles and notes on the reproductive and developmental biology of the Invertebrata, both embryonic and postembryonic. IRD welcomes papers reporting significant results obtained using new techniques. Encouraged topic areas include: physiology, biochemistry, functional morphology, phylogeny, behavioural and regulatory mechanisms, including genetic, endocrine and molecular studies.The journal publishes penetrating and provocative reviews, mini reviews, research papers, announcements and proceedings. New techniques and perspectives are particularly welcome. The journal also welcomes short reports on 'hot' articles appearing in the current literature. The main criteria for acceptance of subject reviews and research papers are originality, scientific rigour and appeal to the readership. All authors must ensure that all necessary permissions have been obtained for reproducing any other copyright material.

Journal of Anatomy publishes original papers, invited review articles and book reviews. Its main focus is on contributions to understanding development, evolution and function through a broad range of anatomical approaches. Articles covering bioinformatics and other topics that clarify or provide tools for functional anatomical understanding will also be sympathetically considered. Priority will be given to experimental studies, to contributions based on molecular and cell biology, and on the application of modern functional imaging techniques. Studies that are essentially descriptive anatomy will only be published if the Editors consider that they are of functional significance. Journal of Anatomy also publishes Brief Communications: these are brief papers (up to 3 journal pages) that present new ideas or data of particular originality and timeliness. The editors will also consider publishing Letters (1-2 pages) on scientific issues of clear relevance to the scope of interest of the Journal.

The Journal of Assisted Reproduction and Genetics provides a journal format for the publication of novel cellular, molecular, genetic, and epigenetic findings that advance our understanding of the biology of human gametes and preimplantation embryos. The goal is to optimize and facilitate the translation of discoveries made from human or relevant animal model experimentation to the safe and efficacious practice of human assisted reproductive technologies within a scientifically rigorous and ethically sound set of standards established by the editorial leadership of JARG. The Journal of Cognition and Development is the official journal of the Cognitive Development Society (CDS). Some CDS members are concerned with basic research or theory; others focus on policy issues and practical applications. The range of interests includes cognitive development during all stages of life, and we seek to understand ontogenetic processes in both humans and nonhumans. Finally, their interests encompass typical as well as atypical development, and we attempt to characterize both biological and cultural influences on cognitive change and continuity. The relationship between the journal and the society is symbiotic in that the journal enhances the field of cognitive development by providing a prestigious forum for innovative research and theory. It publishes the very best articles on all aspects of cognitive development. Journal of Developmental Biology (ISSN 2221-3759) is an international, peer-reviewed, quick-refereeing open access journal, which publishes reviews, research papers and communications on the development of multicellular organisms at the molecule, cell, tissue, organ and whole organism levels. Our aim is to encourage scientists to publish their experimental and theoretical results in as much detail as possible. There is no restriction on the length of the papers. The full experimental details must be provided so that the results can be reproduced. Electronic files regarding the full details of the experimental procedure, if unable to be published in a normal way, can be deposited as supplementary material.

MOLECULAR AND DEVELOPMENTAL EVOLUTION (MDE) welcomes papers that contribute to a causal understanding of the evolution of development and how development influences patterns of molecular and phenotypic evolution. Papers that take diverse disciplinary approaches, including developmental, molecular, genetic, evolutionary, systematic, ecological, and paleontological, will be published. MDE seeks research articles without page restriction or charges, review articles, invited commentaries, and book reviews. The Editor-in-Chief has discretion over the use of a number of free color plates. Only color illustrations that highlight the text and convey essential scientific information will be considered for reproduction free of charge, subject to the recommendations of the reviewers and Associate Editors.

Mechanisms of Ageing and Development is a multidisciplinary journal aimed at revealing the molecular, biochemical, and biological mechanisms that underlie the process of ageing and the development of age-associated disease. Emphasis is placed on investigations that delineate the contribution of (1) oxidative damage and/or cellular metabolism; (2) genetic instability; (3) telomere integrity; (4) mitochondrial function; (5) genetic programs.Not of interest are (1) studies on age changes that are purely descriptive and which do not address the underlying mechanisms; (2) psychological or social case studies and reports. Mechanisms of Development is the Official Journal of The International Society of Developmental Biologists which supports the world-wide community of developmental biologists.Mechanisms of Development is an international journal whose purpose is to communicate contemporary studies in developmental biology in any system, including animals, plants and other models. These studies can focus on embryogenesis and/or post-embryonic development of tissues and organs. In addition, MOD publishes studies in which in vitro approaches are used to study mechanisms relevant to developmental biology; for example cell culture assays to study stem cell properties or basic cell biological mechanisms. Molecular Autism is a peer-reviewed, online open access journal that publishes high-quality basic, translational and clinical research into the molecular basis of autism and related neurodevelopmental conditions. Molecular Autism considers studies that relate causal and risk factors with these conditions, including research into genetics, molecular neurobiology, neuropathology, imaging and biomarkers, with a focus on potential applications for intervention.

MHR publishes articles on the molecular aspects of human reproductive physiology and pathology, endocrinology, andrology,gonadal function, gametogenesis, fertilization, embryo development, implantation, pregnancy and contraception. Reproductive genetics is also an important part of MHR. Studies on animal models are welcome as long as a clear relevance to human reproduction can be shown. Original papers present research on all aspects of neonatology, fetal medicine and developmental biology.
