The journal Structural Chemistry offers peer-reviewed original research papers on condensed and gaseous states of matter. Coverage includes techniques for the determination of structure and energetics, their results, and the conclusions derived from these studies. The journal spans artificial divisions in current literature among the areas of structure determination, energetics, and applications, and builds a bridge to other chemical disciplines. It offers broad discussion of results, observation of relationships among various properties, and applications of structure and energy information in all domains of chemistry. We welcome the broadest range of accounts of research in structural chemistry involving the discussion of methodologies and structures, experimental, theoretical, and computational, and their combinations. Supramolecular Chemistry welcomes manuscripts from the fields and sub-disciplines related to supramolecular chemistry. From crown ethers to calixarenes, supramolecular modelling studies to the modification and assembly of artificial DNA, as well as inorganic-based systems, we interpret supramolecular chemistry in the broadest sense. Interdisciplinary manuscripts are particularly encouraged. These include communications, which are given high priority in review and production, and full papers. Accounts, reviews and highlight articles are also welcomed. Surface Engineering and Applied Electrochemistry is the official journal of the Academy of Sciences of Moldova. It publishes theoretical and applied articles dealing with a broad spectrum of topics in surface engineering and the application of electrochemistry in industrial processing. The journal elucidates the methods and processes of the electrical treatment of materials, utilization of electrical fields, currents and charges, improvement of existing technologies, intensification of heat-and-mass transfer processes, and treatment of biological media and foodstuffs. A partial list of topics explored in the journal includes precision machining by spark erosion; electrochemical precision machining and surface finishing; surface layer hard alloying of metals; deposition of coatings from metal plasma; and electrolytic heating, magnetic annealing, electrolyte solutions and processes. Surface Science Reports contains invited review papers on experimental and theoretical studies in the physics, chemistry and pioneering applications of surfaces, interfaces and nanostructures. It covers topics which contribute to a better understanding of basic phenomena occurring on surfaces and interfaces, but also the application of this knowledge to the development of materials, processes and devices. "Surfaces" is defined in this journal to include all interfaces between solids, liquids, polymers, biomaterials, nanostructures, soft matter, gases and/or vacuum. The journal also contains reviews of experimental techniques and methods used to characterize surfaces and surface processes, e.g. those based upon the interactions of photons, electrons and ions with surfaces.

Surface and Coatings Technology is an international archival journal publishing scientific papers on surface and interface engineering to modify and improve the surface properties of materials for protection in demanding contact conditions or aggressive environments, or for enhanced functional performance. Contributions range from original scientific articles concerned with applied research or direct applications of coatings, to invited reviews of current technology in specific areas. Papers submitted to this journal are expected to be in line with the following aspects in processes, and properties/performance:A. Processes: Physical and chemical vapour deposition techniques, thermal and plasma spraying, surface modification by directed energy techniques such as ion, electron and laser beams, thermo-chemical treatment, wet chemical and electrochemical processes such as plating, sol-gel coating, anodization, plasma electrolytic oxidation, etc., but excluding painting.B. Surface and Interface Analysis is devoted to the publication of papers dealing with the development and application of techniques for the characterization of surfaces, interfaces and thin films. Papers dealing with standardization and quantification are particularly welcome, and also those which deal with the application of these techniques to industrial problems. Papers dealing with the purely theoretical aspects of the technique will also be considered. Review articles will be published; prior consultation with one of the Editors is advised in these cases. Papers must clearly be of scientific value in the field and will be submitted to two independent referees. Contributions must be in English and must not have been published elsewhere, and authors must agree not to communicate the same material for publication to any other journal. Authors are invited to submit their papers for publication to John Watts (UK only), Jose Sanz (Rest of Europe), John T. Grant (all non-European countries, except Japan) or R. Shimizu (Japan only).

Sustainable Chemistry and Pharmacy is an international journal suitable for the publication of original communications as well as review articles. In this it has a wide general appeal and accepts the full spectrum of high quality manuscripts from short communications to extended research papers as well as review articles. Papers describing new concepts or contributing to a better understanding of concepts related to sustainable chemistry and pharmacy are highly welcome. Papers should be of originality, novelty and uniqueness. A short communication should present a novel finding that warrants immediate publication.

All manuscripts must be written so as to be widely accessible and understandable to interdisciplinary and trans disciplinary oriented readers without neglecting the disciplinary excellence and clearness.

Sustainable Chemistry and Pharmacy does not publish research associated with 'end-of-pipe' or remediation issues, if they are not clearly related to sustainability.

Symmetry (ISSN 2073-8994), an international and interdisciplinary scientific journal, publishes reviews, regular research papers and short notes. Our aim is to encourage scientists to publish their experimental and theoretical research in as much detail as possible. There is no restriction on the length of the papers. Full experimental and/or methodical details must be provided, so that results can be reproduced. There are in addition three unique features: Manuscripts regarding research proposals and research ideas will be particularly welcomed. Comments on any related papers published in this journal and other journals can be published as short letters. Synthesis and Reactivity in Inorganic, Metal-Organic, and Nano-Metal Chemistry is devoted to the rapid dissemination of original research papers of relevance to inorganic and metal-organic chemists and nano-scientists engaged in synthesis and characterization of Inorganic, Main Group, Metal-Organic and Nano-Particulate Constructs. This journal publishes syntheses and reactivity of new compounds, new classes of nanoparticles, new methods for preparation of known compounds and nanoparticles, and new experimental techniques and procedures. The journal is a publication aimed at the rapid dissemination of original research papers of particular importance to inorganic and metal-organic chemists and nanotechnology professionals. Original research articles that warrant speedy publication because of the unique scientific features and unprecedented scientific value will be given high priority in the peer reviewing process and published as a "High Priority Publication."Although the primary emphasis will be placed on original research contributions, preliminary communications containing full experimental details as well as brief reviews of general reactions or techniques presented from a critical point of view will be considered.
