Nature Reviews Chemistry

eISSN: 2397-3358
JUFO Level 2

Nature Reviews Chemistry is an online-only journal for the weekly publication of Reviews, Perspectives and Comments in all disciplines within chemistry.

Our Reviews aim to be balanced and objective analyses of the selected topic – with descriptions of relevant scientific literature and discussions that are easy to grasp for recent graduates in any chemistry-related discipline, as well as informing principal investigators and industry-based research scientists of the latest advances. Reviews should provide the authors' insight into future directions and their opinion of the major challenges faced by researchers in the field.

Perspectives – as the name suggests – take a look at a topic from a slightly different angle. They may offer more personal viewpoints, explain the historical background to a topic, or discuss some of the social, ethical or environmental factors related to chemistry research in academia and industry.

Our Comments address topical issues in chemistry — the aim is to cover subjects that are of interest to chemists generally that are not necessarily focussed on the results or practice of chemistry research. This may include, but is not limited to, discussions of education in chemistry and the practicalities of research outside the academic environment.

Reviews, Perspectives and Comments are commissioned by the editorial team.

The project on independent on-line library of Blackhorse Scientific Publishers has been intorduced as early as in 1999 when Blackhorse became an independent publishing house. During previous Springer time, several efforts was made to create the up-to-date scalable and relayable database. However, on that time no such similar on-line library existed in Poland. So, the new venture to offer the full text database containing all manuscripts published at Blackhorse\'s journals started in June 1999. Just amonths thereafter, Blackhorse became a registrant of The Digital Object Identifier Foundadtion, Inc. (Washington, DC) and started to collect the manuscripts accordant to the DOI standards. The special numbering system providing and assuring the full control over several manuscripts and unifing them was developed and introduced into the standarized company's workflow.

Optics Communications

ISSN: 0030-4018eISSN: 1873-0310
JUFO Level 1

Optics Communications considers only original and timely contributions containing new results in various fields of modern optics. Manuscripts may discuss fundamental or applied issues, and should offer clear evidence of novelty and significance. Papers devoted, for the most part, to mathematical and computational issues, with limited direct connection to current trends of optics research, are generally not suitable for publication in the Journal. Similarly, small technical advances, or papers concerned only with engineering applications or issues of materials science may not be considered favourably. The Fast Track section of Optics Communications is the venue for very rapid publication of short communications on significant developments in the various fields of modern optics. The goal is to offer the broad modern optics community quick and immediate access to recently completed work in research areas that are rapidly developing and in which there are developments with great potential impact.Benefits to authorsWe also provide many author benefits, such as free PDFs, a liberal copyright policy, special discounts on Elsevier publications and much more. Organic & Biomolecular Chemistry

eISSN: 1477-0539
JUFO Level 2

Organic & Biomolecular Chemistry (OBC) publishes original and high impact research and reviews in organic chemistry. We welcome research that shows new or significantly improved protocols or methodologies in total synthesis, synthetic methodology or physical and theoretical organic chemistry as well as research that shows a significant advance in the organic chemistry or molecular design aspects of chemical biology, catalysis, supramolecular and macromolecular chemistry, theoretical chemistry, mechanism-oriented physical organic chemistry, medicinal chemistry or natural products. Articles published in the journal should report new work which makes a highly-significant impact in the field. Routine and incremental work is generally not suitable for publication in the journal. Topics covered include, but are not limited to: Organic synthesis; physical and theoretical organic chemistry; chemical biology; catalysis; supramolecular, macromolecular and organic materials; sensors; medicinal chemistry; natural products.
