Current Protein & Peptide Science publishes review articles on specific aspects involving proteins, peptides, and interactions between the enzymes, the binding interactions of hormones and their receptors; the properties of transcription factors and other molecules that regulate gene expression; the reactions leading to the immune response; the process of signal transduction; the structure and function of proteins involved in the cytoskeleton and molecular motors; the properties of membrane channels and transporters; and the generation and storage of metabolic energy. In addition, reviews of experimental studies of protein folding and design are given special emphasis. Manuscripts submitted to Current Protein and Peptide Science should cover a field by discussing research from the leading laboratories in a field and should pose questions for future studies. Original papers, research articles and letter articles/short communications are not considered for publication in Current Protein & Peptide Science.
Dalton Transactions publishes high-quality original research, theoretical and computational studies that significantly advance the field of inorganic chemistry. Its scope includes organometallic, bioinorganic, medicinal inorganic, materials and nanomaterials, with applications including synthesis, catalysis, energy conversion/storage, electrical devices and medicine and sensors.
The journal publishes original research findings (and reviews solicited by the Editor) on the subject of the identification of markers associated with the disease processes whether or not they are an integral part of the pathological lesion. The disease markers may be a genetic host factor predisposing to the disease or the occurrence of cell-surface markers, enzymes or other components, either in altered forms, abnormal concentrations or with abnormal tissue distribution. This journal is designed to provide a forum for publications dealing with original observations in this developing field on any aspect of the general topic including: * Identification of new genetic or non-genetic markers (e.g., cell-surface antigens, serum proteins, intra- and extra-cellular enzymes, cytogenic markers and DNA-sequences) * Population studies of new and existing markers, designed to elucidate information on their normal distribution as well as that in disease states * Amplification of knowledge about existing markers * Family studies of markers in disease * New techniques for identification and/or isolation of important marker molecules * Use of monoclonal antibodies for the definition of molecular structures associated with disease markers * Identification of disease-associated abnormalities in DNA using recombinant DNA techniques, gene-cloning and DNA restriction enzyme fragment polymorphisms * Identification of markers identifying malignantly transformed neoplastic cells.
Drug Metabolism Letters publishes letters, original research articles, mini-reviews, thematic issues based on mini-reviews and letters, commentaries, technical notes and drug clinical trial studies on major advances in all areas of drug metabolism and disposition.
The journal Forensic Toxicology provides an international forum for publication of studies on toxic substances, drugs of abuse, doping agents, chemical warfare agents, and their metabolisms and analyses, which are related to laws and ethics. It includes original articles, reviews, mini-reviews, short communications, and case reports. Although a major focus of the journal is on the development or improvement of analytical methods for the above-mentioned chemicals in human matrices, appropriate studies with animal experiments are also published.Forensic Toxicology is the official publication of the Japanese Association of Forensic Toxicology (JAFT) and is the continuation of the Japanese Journal of Forensic Toxicology (ISSN 0915-9606).This publication is supported in part by a Grant-in-Aid for Publication of Scientific Research Results from the Japan Society for the Promotion of Science.
Green Chemistry provides a unique forum for the publication of innovative research on the development of alternative green and sustainable technologies. Based on the, but not limited to, the twelve principles of green chemistry defined by Anastas and Warner (Green Chemistry: Theory and Practice, P T Anastas and J C Warner, Oxford University Press, Oxford, 1998). Green chemistry is, by definition, a continuously-evolving frontier. Therefore, the inclusion of a particular material or technology does not, of itself, guarantee that a paper is suitable for the journal. To be suitable, the novel advance should have the potential for reduced environmental impact relative to the state of the art. Green Chemistry does not normally deal with research associated with 'end-of-pipe' or remediation issues.
Hemoglobin is a journal in the English language for the rapid communication of research involving hemoglobin, diseases affecting hemoglobin, and the red blood cell components interacting with hemoglobin. Fundamental, practical, genetic, epidemiological, and clinical aspects will be considered.
Covering the fields of endocrinology and metabolism from both a clinical and basic science perspective, this well regarded monthly journal publishes original articles, and short communications on cutting edge topics.Speedy publication time is given high priority, ensuring that endocrinologists worldwide get timely, fast-breaking information as it happens.Hormone and Metabolic Research presents reviews, original papers, and short communications, and includes a section on Innovative Methods. With a preference for experimental over observational studies, this journal disseminates new and reliable experimental data from across the field of endocrinology and metabolism to researchers, scientists and doctors world-wide.
Inorganic Chemistry Frontiers welcomes research articles and review-type articles from all areas of inorganic chemistry. Emphases are placed on interdisciplinary studies where inorganic chemistry meets related areas, such as catalysis, biochemistry, nanoscience, energy, and materials science. Significant advances in inorganic chemistry and proved applications in other disciplines are essential. Together with Organic Chemistry Frontiers and Materials Chemistry Frontiers, this suite of journals offers an authoritative portfolio that is jointly owned by the Chinese Chemical Society, the Royal Society of Chemistry, and partner institutions.
International Journal of Laboratory Hematology is an international journal providing a forum for the communication of new developments, research topics and the practice of clinical and laboratory haematology. The journal publishes: invited reviews; full length original articles; case reports; technical reports; regular book reviews; notices and correspondence In addition, the Journal publishes Synoptics, an occasional review series presenting a written summary of meetings which readers might have missed. An active and positive editorial policy ensures that work of the highest scientific standard is reported, promoting effective communication amongst practising haematologists.
