Publishes papers that deal with research on microorganisms, including archaea, bacteria, yeasts, fungi, microalgae, protozoa, and simple eukaryotic microorganisms. Topics considered for publication include Microbial Systematics, Evolutionary Microbiology, Microbial Ecology, Environmental Microbiology, Microbial Genetics, Genomics, Molecular Biology, Microbial Physiology, Biochemistry, Microbial Pathogenesis, Host-Microbe Interaction, Systems Microbiology, Synthetic Microbiology, Bioinformatics and Virology. Manuscripts dealing with simple identification of microorganism(s), cloning of a known gene and its expression in a microbial host, and clinical statistics will not be considered for publication by JM.

Journal of Nanobiotechnology is ready to receive manuscripts on all aspects of scientific and technological advances in the fields of medical, biological and nanoscale sciences.

Letters in Applied Microbiology provides for the rapid publication of short, high quality papers in the broad field of applied microbiology, including environmental, food, agricultural, medical, pharmaceutical, veterinary, soil, systematics, water and biodeterioration. Aims and Scope:Metabolic Engineering (MBE) is devoted to the publication of original research papers on the directed modulation of metabolic pathways for metabolite over production or the improvement of cellular properties. Papers describing native pathway engineering and synthesis of heterologous pathways for converting microorganisms into microbial cell factories are also welcome.Experimental, computational, and modelling approaches for the elucidation of metabolic pathways and their manipulation by genetic, media, or other environmental means are presented. Efficient probing of metabolic pathways requires the application of appropriate methods from molecular biology and biochemistry, along with modeling and data analysis techniques from engineering. MBE provides a forum for communicating such interdisciplinary research, as well as relevant results in the constituent areas of biochemistry, molecular biology, applied microbiology, cellular physiology, cellular nutrition in health and disease, and biochemical engineering.Types of papers:Original Research Papers, Review Papers.

Microbial Cell Factories is ready to receive manuscripts on all aspects of the development, use and investigation of microbial cells as factories for production of both natural products and recombinant proteins.

We are entering a new and exciting era of microbiological study and application. Recent advances in the now established disciplines of genomics, proteomics, and bioinformatics, together with extensive cooperation between academic and industrial concerns, have brought about an integration of basic and applied microbiology as never before. Microbial Physiology aims to reflect this development by publishing original research papers from all areas of microbiology and biotechnology. It also features written symposia on selected topics, timely reviews, and mini-reviews. Theoretical approaches and descriptions of novel, microbiologically relevant software are also considered. Contributions and ideas from large segments of the scientific community are welcome to make Microbial Physiology a viable, much needed, and up-and-coming forum for current basic and applied microbiological research.

Founded in 1932, the journal Mikrobiologiya (Microbiology) covers a wide range of problems in the areas of fundamental and applied microbiology. The journal publishes experimental and theoretical papers, reviews of trends in a range of fields of microbiological science, and short communications describing unusual observations. The journal also presents review articles on subjects in these areas.

Molecular Omics publishes high-quality research from across the -omics sciences that provide significant new insight into important chemical or biological problems. Topics covered by Molecular Omics include, but are not limited to, proteomics, genomics, transcriptomics, lipidomics, glycomics, metabolomics, microbiomics, sequencing technologies and bioinformatic research. Molecular Omics articles report research that significantly increases understanding or demonstrates clear functional benefits, supported by experimental validation or a novel data analytic approach. Topics include, but are not limited to: -omics studies to gain mechanistic insight into biological processes; -omics studies for clinical applications with experimental validation, such as finding biomarkers for diagnostics or potential new drug targets; -omics studies looking at the sub-cellular make-up of cells – for example, the subcellular localisation of certain proteins or post-translational modifications or new imaging techniques; studies presenting new methods and tools to support omics studies, including new spectroscopic/chromatographic techniques, chip-based/array technologies and new classification/data analysis techniques.

Celebrating 75th anniversary of MycopathologiaIt was founded in 1938 as an international journal devoted to the study of the role of fungi in human and animal disease. Many of the milestones discoveries in the field of medical mycology have been communicated through the pages of this journal. A special commemorative issue is planned at the end of 2013 to mark this occasion.
